I'm thrilled to announce a spine-chilling Halloween special on Monday October 30th, diving deep into the mysterious world of dogmen. It's not just any episode – there are exciting new elements I'm experimenting with, and I can't wait for you to be a part of it. I was asked to take part in this special event and I wanted to take the opportunity to try a couple of different things to help set it apart from a normal episode.
I want to take this time to talk candidly about the future. Running this podcast has been a labor of love, but it's not without its challenges. Rising hosting costs and the need for better tools have stretched my budget thin. I've thought about different solutions, from ads to exclusive content, and even setting up an online store with Tinfoil Tales merchandise. I have always been reluctant to setup a Patreon, or ask for the listeners to spend their hard earned money on memberships to exclusive episodes. That isn’t what I want to do.
Unlike a lot of other podcasts, I have wanted to make sure that everyone has an opportunity to listen to every episode for free, and that isn’t something I want to stray from. The costs for keeping this show going and improving have just continued to increase and it’s becoming even more expensive as providers raise their fees.
Your input means the world to me. Your thoughts, concerns, and suggestions are invaluable as I navigate these decisions. I've always hesitated to monetize the show, fearing it might compromise the essence of what makes Tinfoil Tales special. But I'm exploring options that could help sustain our podcast while preserving the ad-free experience you enjoy.
I'm also excited to share that new merchandise will be available soon, including shirts, stickers, and other goodies. Your support through these items will play a significant role in shaping the future of Tinfoil Tales.
