Ep. 210: It Started When She Came Home

And I just turned around and I call ass out of there. I was done. I wasn't deal with them. The hypocrisy of the cult is one of the things that turned me away the quickest. When I turned my head lights on, it turned and looked at us. And one of the things I remember the most where the eyes were going red. I see an orb of light. It is just circling these steps. Like it is waiting for me. And he begins to tell them that he saw UFO. They're basically like, what are you talking about. That's seven foot up on a tree, peeking around it, and that's where I saw the top of the muzzle, nose and the eyes as soon as I made eye contact with this thing. And don't like debt. Welcome back to ten Foyle Tel's I'm your host Brandon Tonight, we're joined by my guest Melissa. Melissa, thanks for coming on here and talking with me. Oh, thank you for having me. Would you like to let the audience know a little bit about yourself before. We dive into it or My name is Melissa Sapienza. I am an independent actress from the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area. I've been in the indie filming community since about twenty nineteen, and yeah, I've done a little bit of everything from special effects, makeup, to acting, to assistant directing to scriptwriting, a little bit of everything here and there. Can I say it sounds like I've been involved in a lot of little things here and there for the film industry. Yeah. Yeah, it's been a lot of fun. I've always wanted to be involved in that. I'm actually been working on a documentary, so it's not really would esque, but it's still something I've always been interested in. Like as a kid, one of my favorite things to do is make my own little movies. Oh yeah, yeah. Any everything that I've ever been in, I would not even consider anything near Hollywood esque. Like independent film. It is for the most part, a very welcoming and creative space and you definitely learn a lot from it. And it's so gritty and it's great. It's great. I really, you know, highly suggest that to get into it any way you can. There's some things on the horizon that may play out to where I might be able to have opportunities for stuff like that, but as of right now, just just a guy with a microphone. I enjoyed doing what I do. I don't really have all that time to do other hobbies. I guess understandable, But I mean, you're definitely in a good spot in regards of starting somewhere, right, I. Think so, I'd like to think so, Like I've got connections. I've met a lot of people from doing this show, and I've done a lot of little conventions here and there, so I've met some people. There's some cool things on the horizon. But that's great. Now, before we get into any of the stuff that you've experienced and everything, like what the show's about. What are some of these projects you've been involved in. Well, I have done a lot with Fuzzy Monkey Films, and one of the things that we recently wrapped filming was Cracula, and that is currently in in post. It is in the final stages of editing, so hopefully we'll get a premiere super soon. And you said, that's Cracula. Yeah, Cracula everything you wanted to be. It reminds me of crack Coon. Oh well, it's from the same It is from the same director that made Kracoon. Makes a lot of sense. Oh yeah, on that crack train while you still can. Right, is crack his theme, not necessarily, just. Just more recently. You know, he he did Kraccoons and he uh why he? I mean broad twig. He has campaigned for Cracko Dial and then we finished Cracula and he may have put out some little teasers for krack Coons. So we'll see what's going on there. Mmhmm. I've never seen him. I've seen people talk about it. I've seen little things posted here and there, so I'm familiar with it, but I don't. I don't watch a whole lot of movies these days. I used to, but I've got young ones that decided that they rule the house and they roll television, so I don't get to watch what I want to anymore. That's the benefits of my husband and I basically hang out in our what we consider the game room, but the kids have basically all the rest of the house, and we just stay downstairs in our cave and watch movies. But that's why I have my studio outside now, so I can at least without having to deal with children. I mean, if you like, do you like puppets? Uh? Yes, and no, like I understand. I understand some of the things are like the B movie style stuff like I've watched I think it was ThanksKilling with the Killer Turkey. Yeah, it was so cheesy and goofy. I thought it was hilarious that. Well, then you would love crack because a treat is fantastic and it's just it's so entertaining and it doesn't take itself seriously and that's why it's so it's so easy to love it. I feel like there's been a There was Cocaine Bear, which was actually weird that it got released in like theaters, I think. But yeah, I was not Honestly, I wasn't a huge fan of that one. I was anticipating more fun with the Bear rather than having like five million subplots. They missed the target on that one. I'd say, I've. Never watched it, but it seemed to be like and I saw them. There was Kraccoon, and I've seen there's some other things coming out, and I know there was I forget what it was. It was something to do with I think like zombie goats or something. I don't know. There's there's a whole lot of weird stuff that came out here in the last like five or six years that seem to be all following some weird little trends here and there. Yeah. Well, before we go any further, I was gonna ask, now, you've been in, so are these movies that, like, you actually acted in? Yeah. So most of the films that I've worked on, I have acted. I've done anything from leads to supporting to extras, and then I've also done a lot of special effects as well. M h. I've always liked special effects stuff and I've always been fascinated with it, like how they can the prosthetics and everything else. So if I ever had an opportunity, I liked when people like Halloween time or whatever, I used to get like made up and stuff. I've always been a huge zombie nerds, so I've got like a zombie tattoo and some other things. So if anyone that actually knows me knows, I'm like a huge zombie goofball. I used to get like the blood and gore on me and the fake makeup stuff, and I had some pictures from like when I was right out of high school or whatever, So that was my big thing. Is I love zombie stuff before zombies became really trendy in the mid two thousands. But oh, I feel you on that one, and like there used to be some a festival called zombie Fest the Pittsburgh area, and I started doing zombiees like at home special effects makeup because of attending those shows, and it grew into wanting to learn other techniques and then it just kind of blew up from there. Amazing what you can do with latex and twilet. I had. There was a motorcycle going by him for some reason. He's super loud. But I had the Halloween makeup and then like just a bunch of fake blood. So I was always putting on like the grayish blue color. I almost looked like something from like Donna the Dead, the original Donna the Dead where they were like blue colored tinted. Those were like my favorite zombie like the I always called him the Holy Trilogy Night Donna Day. And I was a big Romero fan. So I actually got the meeting about fifteen years ago, so I had his autograph, So that was a cool moment for me. It was actually mean GEORGI ra meirow But yeah, that's uh, that's my little history when it comes to stuff like I'm just a big zombie nerd. We used to make zombie little zombie stuff here and there, and I've been involved with some guys locally that tried to do zombie stuff and nothing ever really panned out. I was more into the music scene than anything. Oh okay, Well, if you are good to go, you want to talk about some of the things that you've experienced, we can dive into. That, sure, Okay. In regards to experiences, I have had a handful of what I would consider paranormal experience and at least half of those actually involved my daughter. How old it was your daughter when this all happened, infant? Yeah? She So there was a couple of instances when she was just a baby, and then as she got order, we shared an experience together. And you know, I did reach out to a medium at one point and it both in inces. They you know, informed me that my daughter may be a little intuitive, which I could kind of see that. You know, it's always weird when when your kids are involved, you become the protective parent. Oh yeah. And the first instance, at least with that particular friend that we had living for a little bit, she was just born, maybe just a few weeks, and I would notice that, you know, typically her own room. Ah, the one cat who hated me for a couple of weeks after popping her out, but then was like, oh no, I'm going to protect this little being. She would wait outside, wait outside the door, and you would hear what would sound like like a stampede in my daughter's room. But anytime I'd go to check on her, wasn't at nothing, and you would hear men over the baby monitor. And there was an evening that you know, I just fed her and she well not she. I was laying in the living room and all of a sudden it got dead silent, and something told me to go away, like almost breathing in my ear, and I went. I sprinted out of there. Oh my goodness. But after that moment there was a good bit of but almost on like agitation over the baby monitor and more stomping at night. It was. It was a little lot intimidating there for a little bit. What did they sound like over the monitor, like did you make out any specific words? It was a lot of like the go and there would be almost some nonsensical bull like I said, it sounded like a man like deep almost like grisly tone man. And from you know, my understanding and talking to a medium that it was a wanderer and like nobody died in that house or but you know, being that my daughter was basically an open door. She was welcoming all kinds of friends. And late, maybe a couple of years later later, after you know, went through house cleansing and everything, I came home from working at a haunt I started haunt acting, probably around twenty six years and her door was completely shut, which typically that wouldn't a behavior my daughter did. So I would crack it open and it would close again. I'm like, oh, it's probably just a crap, you know, and open it up even further slam shut. So then I blocked the door from its slamming shut, and I was in the bathroom. I made a smart comment because you know, I'm like, I was probably our friend again. I made a smart comment, basically, something along the lines of, what are you going to do now the power went out? Yours experience is similar to stuff that I've dealt with here, and I don't really want to dive into what happened here, but like I can talk to you about it later when we're not recording. But the baby monitors stuff and everything, like I've had stuff like that happen, So definitely want to talk to you more about that here in a minute. But I don't it creeps me out when stuff like that happens. And I've had people say that it's just interference from like people on a phone or like a Cbee radio or it just it just picks up random noise, and I'm like, some things get very specific. Mhm. So it's very specific, and it doesn't it doesn't give me an answer to why I felt and heard like a man like basically whispering in my ear to go over because that wasn't over the wat over the baby. Yeah, that felt like I was getting like I said, it got dead silent in the presence. I felt like it seriously felt like somebody was just hovering them before, like right before it happened. There's no interference there. Did your daughter ever seem to talk to anything that you're aware of? No, And the only thing that I'm aware of that we kind of, like I said, that we experienced together because being you know, younger before I, she wasn't young enough to express any and I don't think she would have comprehended anything that was going on, and a lot of the time it was when she was sleeping. But the one time, and this was around the time that my mother passed away, and we were visiting the house. I think we were just, you know, gathering some whatnots, and my daughter and I were going through the back garage that was pasted to the house, and we both heard my mother yell hey, like she was trying to get our attention. The voices and everything. It's very strange to me because I don't know how to take certain aspects to it, because I try and remain skeptical and got it. I also believe, which is it's weird to say that you're a believer but you're also a skeptic. It doesn't really work that way. But I think there is definitely something out there that we can't explain, right. And I don't say everything is paranormal. I don't say everything's a spirit. I don't say things or demons or aliens or monsters or whatever. I think there's rational explanation to ninety nine percent of the stuff, but there's still that one percent that you can't explain. And that's why I keep doing what I'm doing, because that one percent. Exactly, and I feel like I'm on the same boat as you to some degree, Like I have some beliefs, but I still take it with a grain of salt and try to rationalize things. But a lot of the times, at the end of you know, going through any possibility, the gut feeling you get in a certain situations is it's too real. I think there's instances where we know we can sense when things are around I think I've made this connection a few times before. But you know, when someone's looking at you. If you're sitting in a crowded room and you get to feeling like someone's staring you, happen to look at and you look around, you see someone looking and they turn away real quick. Like I don't know if that's like a sixth sense that we're not tapped into, but it happens to me a lot like and then people have these gut feelings, people get weird deja vu, like there's all sorts of different things that happen, and it's like, I don't know how to describe it and explain it other than it's like some strange little phenomenon that happens, but it doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. But it's just weird. Oh yeah, and deja, the amount of deja, and that part is even just wrapping your your head around certain instance, like feeling like you've been in a moment before in like knowing the specifics that are going to happen afterwards. I don't know if you've had that severity of jiavu. It's happened to where I just get like a gut feeling like I've seen this before, and it's always just random little thing. Has nothing been super like influential or anything like that, just these random moments like where I've talked like I've seen this before, but it always makes me like like I get that way queasy gut feeling like man, that's strange. I even just had once just today and it was probably I feel like I've I felt this situation months ago, and I'd recently just started a new job. And in this instance, I was in my classroom, like with my with my toddlers because I'm in a childcare setting, doing a specific activity right now on a specific name, and like knowing what the kids were going to be saying next that were besides me. It was It's a weird, a weird few. Yeah. Now that's I was doing something recently and I was having a conversation and then I like, I after in the middle of the conversation, I'm like, man, this is a conversation I've already seen. I've already been in this conversation before. Yeah, And so it's. Just I don't know. It happens to me often. I wouldn't say all the time, but at least every couple of months I might have it. You'd feeling, Yeah. Definitely a bizarre feeling to deal with. And I've talked to people that they have their own opinions on what it actually could be. And it's just one of those things. That's where I don't want to call it like a time slip, but it's almost like there's different patterns in life to where things that happen like it's almost like a multi verse, and sometimes we slip into that, like our reality is kind of bleed into one another. Again, that's just all I don't want to say hyper bowl, but like hypothetical in a sense, because no one really knows, right, It's just it's just people guessing. At the end of the day, I think that's all we all do is if we have opinions, we have guesses, and I don't know if we'll ever find the answers to them. I was literally just gonna say, isn't our whole life just a bunch of things? Pretty much? Is there anything as far as your experiences go? Because you mentioned the one with your daughter, Has it been anything else that's happened since then? The not so much with my daughter. It was the last experiences I've had. It was actually this past fall. I work for a hunted attraction in the Pittsburgh area carehouse and we brought back our eighteen and over iggressive experience, the Basement. I don't know if you've ever heard of the Basement. No, I'm not familiar with them. Okay, basically, you sign a waiver and you are in intimate and personable experiences with characters versus if you're never actually in danger. But it's more of like a psychological like mind fuck, so to speak. But the original building we went back to to bring the basement, and that place is on it asself. It's an old old Elks lodge and the basement actually has used to be old duck and bowling lanes. But there are certain spots in that basement that were super active, and there was quite a few times the last season where I had encountered we either deep energy to the point I was getting an anxiety attack, to having somebody exhale on me a couple of times. Just a lot of it was a lot of masculine energy, a lot of masculine heavy energy out. Where's this located at? The buildings located in Etna, Pennsylvania. Okay, it's like a It's probably about like fifteen minutes out of the city of Pittsburgh. But yeah, that building is super active. They used to have per normal investigators there regularly going through that building and finding the different spots of energy. There has been a haunted place here locally. They do it almost every year, and I don't know if this building itself has any It used to be an old school and then they use it for one of the local tribes nowadays, but they every year. They have like escape rooms they've put in it, and they've done like haunted attraction things in there. And I've went through it every once in a while, and most of it's ran by children. So the Hana House aspect isn't scary to me, but I've often wondered like if some of these locations or whatever when they do sort of attractions like this, but I honestly doesn't bring in some sort of energy because I'm of the things that we're doing and going in there and people are experiences of it, but we're trying to project some sort of fear and everything. I wonder if we're not opening doorways for things to come into these areas too. I could. I think I can agree with you on that, because not only are we, you know, participating in you know, this type of entertain aim that's supposed to be, like you said, pulling certain emotions and energies out of people. And typically in those cases, a lot of the people that you do higher and that are participating in all of that are usually fairly you know, open minded with those things as well. And I feel like the more open minded you are, the more you allow yourself to experience things. And I feel like that's definitely just like a welcome matt or you know, entities or what have you to come in and cosso mayhem or just say hello. I talked to someone before and they do like a haunted tour, and I think some of that stuff is like residual. They have these asks. But sometimes maybe these things, I don't want to say they feed on the energy, but maybe that is something that they're doing and they know people are going to come through here, they know that they're going to get so it comes in and they're going to get that energy, that reaction, they're going to get something, and somehow it empowers them, like they I guess feed off that energy. Else to say it other than that, Like it just seems like it could bring in something that causes this stuff. Like when you're actually out doing it, it's almost like you invite it in and there's this thing comes in here and it just manifests itself because it's got free rain and food at this point. Oh yeah, definitely, And especially when you get into situations such as once anything like that, with all of the energy out in the open, I feel like that would it's a magnet. It's it's definitely a magnet for those kind of energy. M And I feel like the ones that are more open and susceptive too, feeling those things like I feel like those you know, entities or spirits, whatever you want to call them, I feel like they know they know they know who to community. They know who's going to understand. What they know. I've said this before too, like I think once people have experiences, it opens them up more to more experiences. And I don't know what it actually is about that, but when I've talked with I've talked with over two hundred and something people at this point. Yeah, but the more I've done this, the more you find out, like if someone had an experience, they've usually had more than just one. Like it's almost gotten to the point to where, say I interviewed someone that's seen it cryptid while well, they've also probably had some sort of paranormal experience at some point in their life, or they've seen like a UFO like somehow it almost all starts to tie back together, like once you have like one weird encounter or one experience, it almost leads into more. And a lot of people a lot of people say les's not true that people are crazy, and I honestly used to think that way a long time ago. I was like, man, people talking about all these weird things happened to them like that. Listen, can't be I was like, you can't do this, you can't there's no way all this is happening to people. But now that I've been doing this and I've listened to people, and I've talked with people, and I've thought about things that have happened to me, I'm almost just as bad. And I feel hypocritical about it a lot, because I've had weird things happen to me that I never even took as weird until I've thought about it. I think that happens to a lot of people. I think everyone has weird experience as weird possible paranormal or any type of activity, but they write it off like I used to, like the common person doesn't think about it, so it's like, oh, that's weird, and they just go on about their business. Right, that's just that little percentage of you know, the ones that question and then they really get into. It and. It just opens up the floodgates. Right for you. When you mentioned the stuff with your daughter, was that your first real experience to the paranormal or is there something before that that you think may have I said, there's usually when people look into there's probably stuff that they've had happened before that. But because your daughter is maybe new, and that energy from bringing in the daughter could also bring in other things. Right. There was another instance, and this was it was whenever my oldest son, because my daughter's the middle child, so my oldest son after he was born. I was. In my bedroom which used to be my brother's room and we just decided to swap rooms at one point, and he had passed away a year prior, and I was, you know, sitting on the bed watching TV what have you, and again thinking that it was you know, something infrared, like a remote or something messing with my TV. And I also noticed the again it was a not a baby monitor. Oh no, it was. It was a yes, it was. It was a baby monitor with a projector attached, and it was turning on by itself, and again I thought it was just something infrared. I messed with all the controllers, making sure everything was fine, and at one point I got up to go turn off the projector part and it turned off. Halfway from me getting to projector. I sit down, turns back on and in my in my gun, I'm like, oh, this is probably my brother. So I was like, all right, asshole, knock it off. And the thing flickered, so it's like, okay, I get it. You're checking off Mommy, you're being a smart ass. Ha ha. Obviously I let that one. I let that one slide. I let that one welcome in because you know, knowing that probably just check it out. Just the fact that I'm like, knock it off, asshole, and it flickered, and I'm like, really, really you're gonna do that? Yeah, it's now to me. And this is like, I don't allow us to go and say things to people about certain aspects, but like I feel like if I was, if there is a heaven or hell or an afterlife or whatever, I don't understand how come some people or spirit or energy they stick around. I don't know what makes them want to stick around. I don't know what makes them have to stay. Some people claim that, oh, they have unfinished business. Yeah. Some people say they're just checking in on their families. And then other people claim they're not even who we think they are. They're just things that we that have come in to pretend to be those things for the people that we know, so we never really know, and that to me is even more creepy. Yeah, that something could be impersonating someone that we used to know. So that's that's one of those things that I don't. Yeah, I guess I'm sure superstitious a little bit. I mean in a way like obviously, if you if you got to choose whether you thought it was somebody familiar or not, your your brain's gonna instantly want to have that comfort, right. So I think it's a lot easier to explain certain things to relatable sources. Just the fact that you know, I was in what was my brother's old room and uh, he was known as being quite the smart ass, that jokester, you know what, noise to pick on his little sister, And just that interaction, it was it felt like the piece, the pieces were fitting, you know what I mean, No, I get it. And yeah, and even like with the in the situation with my mother and even my daughter, she reacted and we both heard it, and I even suddenly you heard that right Lydia, and she's like, yeah, let's go just to get that, you know, out of her. And it was plain as day, and no one was in the house, like nothing was left on, and it was just the voice was so clear, it was it was startling. Have you ever been one that's been interested in like trying to communicate with any of these things? Oh. Absolutely. I started practicing trow and not so much for those reasons, but more so I guess to kind of explore my moral compass in a way, and it also kind of helps It helps you self evaluate, puts things into perspective. But with that, you know, I've channeled my thoughts and energy into you know, trying to have either you know, communication or potential advice from said people. I've you know, I've lost and I've had a couple instances where it was pretty spot on. And you know, I will say that with the grain of salt, that harrow is what you make of it. The Cordier dealt. It's all how you what sticks with you and how you persist. But the certain certain answers I was getting pretty pointed. Oh, I think when people do stuff like that, and I know there's gonna be listeners, it'll probably say something. But yeah, there are they claim that invites things in But if you've had the experience before that, then something was already clearly around. But oh ay, there is a very taboo topic to where like Ouigi boards, they claim you don't mess with Ouigi boards, you don't do territs, you don't do you don't do anything that can bring these things in. And I bought a spirit box here recently, and one of the things that people say is you don't do that in your home. While I turned it on and then within a few seconds it said something, I instantly turned it off because I don't want to try and bring anything back in the house if I can avoid it. So, yeah, that's like I said, for me, I'm very superstitious. I'm very I guess maybe paranoid about a lot of the things because just from previous experiences. So for me, I just I'm trying to be cautious as best I can. I won't mess with a wiki board. I wouldn't mess with stuff like that. I've had people would have been psychic because I wanted to talk to me they claim their mediums, and I was like, I don't really want to have anything like that here because I don't want to potentially make things worse. I get that. If it was just me by myself, then i'd be all about it just to try and see what I could do. But I have to think about everyone else that lives here too. Yeah, that's why I don't. I don't typically go on any sort of paranormal investigations or anything like that. I've been asked to go out with people, and I'm afraid of what's going to come back with me. Right with the harrow and the home, I treat it in a way that like, I treat it with respect. So after being done with I hand, you know, I will thank the cards and basically clear out any energy in the cards that may be left over. So there's a lot of like cleansing and like making sure that there's respect and good energy while doing this. So I think we've been okay, okay, h the house is clean. When was the last time you've had anything weird happen at the house? Honestly, this house in particular, and I've been I've lived here for a couple of years now, and this one, like I said, has been pretty chill, has been pretty chill. And the last incidents I've had have been in my place of work back in Etna. That was the last time I've really felt him. So it's been since like September October. But in regards to the like, I guess I still do tarot here, but there's no I haven't had any bad juties or any type of experience that seemed questions. Yeah, a lot's a good thing. Yes, yes, like I said, it's it's it's a pretty chill house. I think, you know, whatever we got going on here is keeping keeping. I want to go back to some of the movie stuff. What how did you get involved with that? Like was it just something that's always interested you and you just kind of got involved with it that way, or like what got you into that whole aspect of your life of doing these independent movies. Well, I think there was a point. So I've always in general, I've always enjoyed performing, whether it be you know, in school to inquire and voice lessons, musical band, you know, what have you. I've always liked performing. And I started getting into wanting to make my own cost rooms and practice makeup just for leisure, going to convention. And there was a point where somebody I knew from school that hey, there is this this local film they're trying to wrap up filming, but they need a special effects artist. And I thought, of you, so why don't freakch out to them? And so I did, and you know, it was very transparent. I'm like I am self taught. I am very budget friendly, but here's some makeups I've done on myself, and you know, I'm willing to give any big prime which is true. And so I got hired on and my first film was The Sideling Kill and that was back in twenty yeah, twenty late twenty eighteen, early twenty night. And from there I made connections and was introduced to a few friends or people I consider friends now, and got my first feature and which happened to be a wiji Board movie, which was Death Board another Fuzzy Monkey Films, and it just kind of went on from there. I was gonna say something, I completely that train of thought left m Now. The guy that you've been doing some of these movies with you said you got Cracula and you're also in Kraccoon? Yeah? Was he someone that you knew already? Did you meet him by doing these movies? I met him by doing the movies. I met who would he's He's done acting for Brad and has been like producing and stuff for him too. On the Sideling Hill and he introduced me to another couple of people as well, and I was in a feature for them, arm Wrestling Roulette, not necessarily a horror film, but it's like an indie kind of like drama comedy esque movie. But yeah, I met Brad through him. Uh, and we've been harassing each other ever since. And yeah, I've been this is my my goodness, how many fuzzy monkey films have I been on? And this is ridiculous? Death Board Killer camp Out Part two Cracula and I helped do some script editing for Freak Show, and I helped write a script that with Todd Martin that Brad directed for ten thirty one for three called Old Men Gross. Yeah, I'm not familiar with a good bit. I'm not familiar with the movie. I've seen, Like I said, I saw stuff for Kraccoon, but I've never actually watched it, So it might be something I'll have to slip on one night when I got the free time. Oh yeah, and you said the new one coming out as soon as Cracula. Yeah, Cracula. It is supposed to have a Cleveland premiere and a Morgantown, West Virginia premiere. I believe the Cleveland one should be ear least figures crossed. And it's like I said, it is it is such a wild ride. It is Dracula comes back from you know, many years of slumber and he's got the thirst for drug blood. Ye they. I don't know, like what all you can to bulge withever? But how does someone get the funding to do all these do? They do like a kickstarter, they do like a gofund How does that work for them? Every every filmmaker has different ways to get films made, anything from finding producers and you know, working with producers that will that you know, feel that you've got a good project and they want to, you know, make your vision happen. And then there's a lot of what indie filmers do is things like Kickstarter or indie Go Go, where when you contribute, you know, you get something in return, whether it be a copy of the movie or signed merchure. Some people even give out like arts in the movie, like oh get killed by so and so for like fifty bucks, you know. But that's typically how a lot of indie films do get made. It's through crowdfunding because we're all a bunch of broke ass bitches and we need each other's help to get it done. Yeah, I did a kick starter for the documentary that I'm doing. I didn't have a very big budget, I think it was only like a thousand dollars And it wasn't for me wanting it. It was just because I wanted to buy some of these night cameras, like these night vision cameras and a thermal and stuff because of stuff with the word knowing we're actually out in the woods. Yeah, and it did. It almost doubled like I had that many people that doubled it, like like they get their name in the Indian credits as a producer or a thank you or something like. There's different tiers. So I was really surprised at how many people actually were interested in wanting to be involved in trying and help out. Otherwise I ought to spin it all out of pocket. It just it is what it is. But another podcaster convinced me to do it because he knows lots of people out there would actually be interested in helping. So I tried. It worked and I can't complain, so anyone listening, I thank you. But I mean, yeah, it's I think, you know, even looking at expenses for anything like this, the filmmaker not it's not just so much like the editing equipment and camera and whatnot. It's even you know, hiring cast and crew, because not everybody wants to do this stuff for free and making sure that they're comfortable, and so it's having supplies on site, you have to rent whatever, you know, sets that you're using, Like do you have to are you booking an airbnb? You know, things like that, insurance on some sets. Like there's so many factors that go into a film that you know, every little bit helps. Right, Yeah, I get that. Yeah, we've been going on for almost an hour. Is there anything else you would like to discuss? I mean, I don't think I have any more instances to share. I think I've kind of mentioned all of them that is coming to the front of my mind at the moment. We've kind of talked about it. But again, we will let the audience know one more time when they can find the next movie coming out that you're going to be in. Yeah. So, yeah, Cracula should be premiering here soon in Cleveland and Morgantown and hopefully be ready for distribution soon and possibly on streaming services. So Cracula, the other movies that you're in, is there anything specific? I think they're on twob and maybe Amazon Prime. I want to say, I think Kracoon I Believe is on screen Box and Killer camp Out Part two is definitely on Amazon. There's a little bit of everything scattered around. There's one that I did a voiceover and if you're more of a Christmas ye friend, Curtains for Christmas by Steve Razinski, I voice over a rat. I'm a rat.
