Ep. 56: Weird Happenings in Florida

[00:00:25] [SPEAKER_00]: And one of the things I remember the most were the eyes were glowing red.

[00:00:30] [SPEAKER_00]: I see an orb of light. It is just circling these steps like it is waiting for me.

[00:00:41] [SPEAKER_03]: And he begins to tell them that he saw a UFO. They're basically like, what are you?

[00:00:50] [SPEAKER_03]: That's seven foot up on a tree peeking around it. And that's where I saw the top of the muzzle, nose and the eyes.

[00:00:58] [SPEAKER_03]: As soon as I made eye contact with this thing, it felt like death.

[00:02:23] [SPEAKER_02]: But I mean, I'm I'm into the supernatural stuff. So yeah.

[00:02:28] [SPEAKER_01]: Where are you from?

[00:02:30] [SPEAKER_02]: I'm from Florida actually. So

[00:02:34] [SPEAKER_01]: that's where my dad was from. I still got most of my dad's side of my family lived down in Fort Myers area.

[00:02:42] [SPEAKER_02]: I'm from the central Tampa area.

[00:02:46] [SPEAKER_02]: I lived there for most of my life until a couple of years ago.

[00:02:51] [SPEAKER_01]: Got too tired of all the hurricanes.

[00:02:55] [SPEAKER_02]: You know, just life put me in this direction.

[00:02:59] [SPEAKER_02]: I'm living in Maine now and yeah, it's just way life happens.

[00:03:03] [SPEAKER_02]: You know, I don't know what to say.

[00:03:05] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[00:03:10] [SPEAKER_01]: What transpires down in Florida that made you want to reach out to talk with me?

[00:03:17] [SPEAKER_02]: Well, there I have a couple of stories.

[00:03:22] [SPEAKER_02]: I am known as a photographer and I have a couple of pictures that I have proved to show that what I'm talking about, not just, you know, making up stories.

[00:03:32] [SPEAKER_02]: But I think it was about 2011, November sometime in that area.

[00:03:40] [SPEAKER_02]: I decided to shoot with one of the girls that I met at the local goth club called Castle.

[00:03:49] [SPEAKER_02]: Although he's a first name or her name is Gina and she was a little goth girl and did a whole.

[00:03:56] [SPEAKER_02]: She's part of the vampire, you know, culture up there.

[00:04:00] [SPEAKER_02]: And we decided that we were going to go shoot in a graveyard, not just the graveyard, but apparently behind the graveyard, they have like the coffins.

[00:04:12] [SPEAKER_02]: I guess they have them built or they're being made ready to bury people in or whatever.

[00:04:19] [SPEAKER_02]: I'm not sure how she even knew about it.

[00:04:22] [SPEAKER_02]: So we went to the cemetery and then we like walk into this wood behind it a little bit.

[00:04:27] [SPEAKER_02]: And then there was this area with all these coffins that were just laid out, I guess being prepared or leftovers or whatever.

[00:04:36] [SPEAKER_02]: And she walked like dressed up in her vampire, you know, a tire.

[00:04:42] [SPEAKER_02]: She wanted to be like a like a vampire, like she's coming out of the coffins and whatever.

[00:04:48] [SPEAKER_02]: Like she's going to have what?

[00:04:50] [SPEAKER_02]: Now, this is in the middle of the afternoon.

[00:04:53] [SPEAKER_02]: So not at nighttime and you know, we're taking some pictures, trying to get the settings for the camera, this and that.

[00:05:02] [SPEAKER_02]: You know, it literally it's Florida, the sunshine state, the middle of the afternoon.

[00:05:09] [SPEAKER_02]: I have her sitting on a on the coffin and she doing her vampire look, whatever.

[00:05:15] [SPEAKER_02]: And I take a couple pictures of her and her pose.

[00:05:19] [SPEAKER_02]: But in two of the pictures, you can see like this white mist or you know, like someone put like a like a sheet that you can see right through it.

[00:05:31] [SPEAKER_02]: And it's really weird because literally it's just me pointing the camera at her and there's nothing in between us.

[00:05:39] [SPEAKER_02]: I didn't really realize this.

[00:05:41] [SPEAKER_02]: I was looking at the pictures and I was just like, what is this?

[00:05:45] [SPEAKER_02]: You know, I don't know what happened.

[00:05:49] [SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if she was doing some kind of spell or doing anything like that to kind of mess with the spirits.

[00:05:56] [SPEAKER_02]: But it's in the middle of broad daylight and it looks like there's some kind of misty figure or you know, it doesn't really have a form.

[00:06:04] [SPEAKER_02]: It just looks like it was just a puff of smoke or white.

[00:06:09] [SPEAKER_02]: I don't know how to really explain it.

[00:06:11] [SPEAKER_02]: It was there and it was in the middle of the day, which is also really weird because, you know, they say supernatural energy is more potent at nighttime with moon or whatever it is that's supposed to cause it.

[00:06:26] [SPEAKER_02]: But this is, you know, two o'clock to three o'clock in the afternoon.

[00:06:31] [SPEAKER_02]: Yes, we are in the graveyard.

[00:06:32] [SPEAKER_02]: Yes, she's laying in a coffin or whatever.

[00:06:35] [SPEAKER_02]: But just having the picture of like some kind of spirit or something there were disturbing it.

[00:06:41] [SPEAKER_02]: You know, and at the time it didn't make me feel like I was in danger or anything bad was going to happen.

[00:06:49] [SPEAKER_02]: Anything ominous or whatever.

[00:06:52] [SPEAKER_02]: It's just weird that it happened and I don't know how to explain it.

[00:06:56] [SPEAKER_02]: And literally to this day, I don't know what it was, but something there would let us know that they're there.

[00:07:03] [SPEAKER_02]: There they were there.

[00:07:04] [SPEAKER_01]: I guess it's the best way to say I'm always hesitant when it comes to photos just because there's all sorts of different things that it could be like you mentioned smoke.

[00:07:15] [SPEAKER_01]: And obviously, if you weren't smoking, it wouldn't be smoke.

[00:07:18] [SPEAKER_01]: But I've seen pictures that people have posted quite a bit and was like maybe it's a hair or maybe it's just a reflection like a lens flare or something.

[00:07:27] [SPEAKER_01]: So when it comes to photos and everything, I'm always a little bit apprehensive to just come out and say, oh, that's a ghost.

[00:07:33] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm also more skeptical about a lot of things in general.

[00:07:39] [SPEAKER_01]: And I think you have to be when you're starting to look into this sort of field just because there are so many things that can be ruled out from being supernatural.

[00:07:49] [SPEAKER_01]: But just doing a little bit of research and but you mentioned her being into this vampire thing.

[00:07:55] [SPEAKER_01]: Do you know any more about that?

[00:07:56] [SPEAKER_01]: Because that's actually something that I've been curious about as these vampire cult vibe things.

[00:08:01] [SPEAKER_02]: Well, I can go into that.

[00:08:04] [SPEAKER_02]: I won't drop any names of the people, but there's a club in Tampa, Florida.

[00:08:12] [SPEAKER_02]: It's really known.

[00:08:12] [SPEAKER_02]: It's called the Castle has been there, I think, since the mid 90s.

[00:08:17] [SPEAKER_02]: And what I understand about the vampire culture and what it is, I would never really part of it.

[00:08:26] [SPEAKER_02]: But, you know, I was part of the crowd that was.

[00:08:29] [SPEAKER_02]: I was part of that crowd.

[00:08:33] [SPEAKER_02]: I was more of like the outsider looking in, so to speak.

[00:08:39] [SPEAKER_02]: And vampire, they supposedly drink blood.

[00:08:44] [SPEAKER_02]: But it's not like, you know, in the movie where the ghost starts sucking on a person's neck and draining their blood.

[00:08:51] [SPEAKER_02]: It's some kind of blood that they put into like a wine.

[00:08:54] [SPEAKER_02]: So it's like little droplets.

[00:08:55] [SPEAKER_02]: And it, you know, it's just like a ceremonial thing.

[00:09:00] [SPEAKER_02]: It's like they're sharing their essence with, you know, the members of their different groups or families.

[00:09:08] [SPEAKER_02]: You know, sometimes it's for like a sexual thrill.

[00:09:10] [SPEAKER_02]: Sometimes it's just for, you know, just then, you know, sharing a camaraderie.

[00:09:17] [SPEAKER_02]: There's supposedly like the energy vampires.

[00:09:19] [SPEAKER_02]: And I do know that it's not just, you know, hey, you know, I want to give you my blood in order for you to do that.

[00:09:25] [SPEAKER_02]: And for them to accept it, they have to get it tested to make sure that no like STDs, anything that's, you know, biological or anything that can hurt.

[00:09:37] [SPEAKER_02]: That can be harmful to people that partake in a certain ritual of, you know, a blood drinking or something like that.

[00:09:45] [SPEAKER_02]: So not just, you know, they do.

[00:09:48] [SPEAKER_02]: Some people are part of the vampire community as like a fetish.

[00:09:54] [SPEAKER_02]: Some are just kind of into like the lifestyle.

[00:09:58] [SPEAKER_02]: It's all weird. I don't really know a lot about it.

[00:10:01] [SPEAKER_02]: I just know that there it was big there.

[00:10:04] [SPEAKER_02]: I've met, do you remember the old show called Mad Real House or whatever?

[00:10:12] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[00:10:12] [SPEAKER_02]: And they had all the different alternative people.

[00:10:16] [SPEAKER_02]: They had like the vampire guy, a dude that just like slept with the hooks in them.

[00:10:21] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[00:10:22] [SPEAKER_02]: I think it was on sci-fi in the early 2000s, a long time ago.

[00:10:25] [SPEAKER_01]: It was like a spin off wannabe of like the real world from MTV or something.

[00:10:30] [SPEAKER_01]: I think those with like those different types of people.

[00:10:34] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[00:10:35] [SPEAKER_02]: And I remember meeting the vampire guy that was in that show.

[00:10:39] [SPEAKER_02]: I met him in real life at one of these, this hanging out at one of these vampire, you know, community sponsored events or whatever.

[00:10:51] [SPEAKER_02]: And I hung out with him at the club and then at the after party, whatever.

[00:10:55] [SPEAKER_02]: He's a very interesting dude.

[00:10:58] [SPEAKER_02]: I mean he wasn't weird.

[00:11:00] [SPEAKER_02]: He wasn't mean.

[00:11:01] [SPEAKER_02]: Okay.

[00:11:02] [SPEAKER_02]: I would say he is weird, but you know, but a good weird.

[00:11:06] [SPEAKER_02]: He wasn't mean.

[00:11:07] [SPEAKER_02]: He was, you know, when you, when he talked to you, he actually like looked at you in the face, stuff like that.

[00:11:12] [SPEAKER_02]: He just, you know, had what he had believed that he believed in, you know, if that makes any sense.

[00:11:19] [SPEAKER_02]: I forgot to admit his name, but he was pretty cool.

[00:11:23] [SPEAKER_02]: He was, like I said, very standoffish a little bit.

[00:11:26] [SPEAKER_02]: I have to cut just because I think he just observed people in the room.

[00:11:30] [SPEAKER_02]: But if you talk to him, he will talk to you and that's how I am.

[00:11:36] [SPEAKER_02]: I'm sorry.

[00:11:38] [SPEAKER_01]: That's that's kind of how I am.

[00:11:39] [SPEAKER_01]: I don't, I'm not a very outgoing person.

[00:11:41] [SPEAKER_01]: I weirdly enough, I host a podcast, talk to people, but you get me in a room full of people.

[00:11:45] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to be one standing back observing everyone because that's just how I am.

[00:11:48] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, no.

[00:11:49] [SPEAKER_02]: And then the whole experience with that was nice.

[00:11:52] [SPEAKER_02]: Then they had all the dungeon parties and stuff that I was able to, you know, partake in being a photographer and videographer for.

[00:12:05] [SPEAKER_02]: It I was in my early 20s.

[00:12:07] [SPEAKER_02]: I was still just kind of messing around or whatever.

[00:12:10] [SPEAKER_02]: So I had adventures and and stuff.

[00:12:13] [SPEAKER_02]: It was a very weird thing, but I kind of got into some of it.

[00:12:18] [SPEAKER_02]: And then we're going to get into the whole BDSM stuff, but that's not what it is about.

[00:12:23] [SPEAKER_02]: I do want to get back to what I was telling you about the my whole time doing a photo shoot and supposed to be showing up in my photo.

[00:12:33] [SPEAKER_02]: That same day, we were supposed to meet up with another girl that I met at the at the castle, the golf club.

[00:12:42] [SPEAKER_02]: And we're going to do stuff around like sunset in the same area.

[00:12:46] [SPEAKER_02]: And so when we met up with her, we went back to the same location hours later.

[00:12:52] [SPEAKER_02]: And the weirdest thing is, is that we were in this time, we're actually shooting in the cemetery, not not where all the coffins are or anything.

[00:13:02] [SPEAKER_02]: So actually an actual cemetery.

[00:13:04] [SPEAKER_02]: And I was going through the pictures of, you know, to find the one I was telling you about.

[00:13:10] [SPEAKER_02]: I found it today and then I saw pictures of what happened later.

[00:13:14] [SPEAKER_02]: And all of a sudden, just cat just showed up in the middle of the cemetery and was really attracted to the two young ladies I was working with.

[00:13:24] [SPEAKER_02]: You know, that were my models.

[00:13:26] [SPEAKER_02]: I don't know. We don't know where the cat came from.

[00:13:28] [SPEAKER_02]: We know nothing about it.

[00:13:29] [SPEAKER_02]: It wasn't a black cat, if I remember correctly.

[00:13:32] [SPEAKER_02]: It was like, yeah, it looked like she had like dark gray fur with some stripes.

[00:13:38] [SPEAKER_02]: The cat was nice.

[00:13:39] [SPEAKER_02]: Like I was able to pet it.

[00:13:40] [SPEAKER_02]: It didn't act weird, but it just showed up and then, you know, was showing love to the two models that I was working with.

[00:13:49] [SPEAKER_02]: And they wanted to take some pictures with it.

[00:13:51] [SPEAKER_02]: I was able to kind of capture some just for, you know, just to capture it.

[00:13:56] [SPEAKER_02]: And then once they pet it and everything, cat got attention.

[00:13:59] [SPEAKER_02]: And then it ran off.

[00:14:00] [SPEAKER_02]: We don't know what happened to it.

[00:14:02] [SPEAKER_02]: You know, it was just something was weird about it.

[00:14:06] [SPEAKER_02]: It was just odd.

[00:14:06] [SPEAKER_02]: You know, I wouldn't say that it was supernatural.

[00:14:10] [SPEAKER_02]: It's just an odd coincidence that we're in a graveyard, you know, towards nighttime and this cat just shows up randomly.

[00:14:18] Yeah.

[00:14:19] [SPEAKER_01]: Was it black?

[00:14:21] [SPEAKER_02]: Like I said, I think it was like a dark gray.

[00:14:24] [SPEAKER_02]: It wasn't a completely black cat.

[00:14:26] [SPEAKER_02]: It was, uh, it had some color to it.

[00:14:29] [SPEAKER_02]: It was a big cat too.

[00:14:30] [SPEAKER_02]: Like it's so obviously some kind of bar cat or something.

[00:14:34] [SPEAKER_02]: And it would just, for whatever reason, attracted to the girls that I would work with that are dressed up as witches or goth girls or whatever it is you want to say.

[00:14:45] [SPEAKER_02]: It was, it was odd, you know?

[00:14:50] [SPEAKER_02]: You know, I mean, it was really odd, but it happened.

[00:14:56] [SPEAKER_02]: So.

[00:14:58] [SPEAKER_02]: And I also had another incident that happened during a photo shoot, but this time we were really pushing our our luck, so to speak.

[00:15:08] [SPEAKER_02]: Now I was working with a totally different young lady and whereas in another part of town and it was, I want to say maybe closer to midnight just because she wanted to be like a witch and put the whole pentagram and candles and wanted it to be around midnight or whatever.

[00:15:28] [SPEAKER_02]: To, you know, kind of go with the aesthetics of, you know, being a witch and, you know, summoning dark magic, black magic, whatever.

[00:15:37] [SPEAKER_02]: Now, in order for us to do this, when we went to the cemetery, I was like, look, I want to be respectful because, you know, of what happened the previous story.

[00:15:47] [SPEAKER_02]: So we bought some roses and we kind of went to all the gravestones that are around the big gazebo in the middle of the cemetery so she can, you know, we could pay respects to them.

[00:16:01] [SPEAKER_02]: So it's not like we're going to be disrespectful and have angry spirits or whatever, you know, just be nice.

[00:16:09] [SPEAKER_02]: So we dropped some roses and all the tombstones that are around the gazebo, set the gazebo up.

[00:16:18] [SPEAKER_02]: We had I think about over a hundred different like little, you know, candles that were going to light and kind of use that as the lighting for the picture because it was completely dark out and there was no lights.

[00:16:33] [SPEAKER_02]: And she wanted to kind of draw a pentagram, but I was like, let's not kind of do that.

[00:16:41] [SPEAKER_02]: How about we arrange the candles to kind of look like that, you know, come like what it costs.

[00:16:47] [SPEAKER_02]: I do believe in that there are things out there that we can't explain, you know, ghosts, whatever you I know you say more of a skeptic.

[00:16:56] [SPEAKER_02]: I'm not afraid of this stuff, but I also don't like to go into situations and outright provoke it.

[00:17:03] [SPEAKER_02]: So to speak, if that makes sense.

[00:17:04] [SPEAKER_01]: No, it does. When I say I'm a skeptic, I'm not trying to say that I don't believe in the supernatural.

[00:17:10] [SPEAKER_01]: I just I'm skeptical of what a lot of people think is supernatural.

[00:17:14] [SPEAKER_01]: If that makes any sense.

[00:17:16] [SPEAKER_02]: I know you're saying you're not saying that you don't believe you just, you know, be like, hey, you know, there's a lot of things happen and that can be explained and not just, oh, this thing that's uncommon to happen is not supernatural.

[00:17:30] [SPEAKER_02]: I get what you're saying.

[00:17:32] [SPEAKER_02]: And and and going back into the story.

[00:17:36] [SPEAKER_02]: So we we sell these candles and we like them all white.

[00:17:41] [SPEAKER_02]: I don't know. There is a lot of them right.

[00:17:43] [SPEAKER_02]: And as I'm sitting there, I pull out my camera.

[00:17:46] [SPEAKER_02]: She like in this light, you know, her feet are crossed.

[00:17:50] [SPEAKER_02]: She's doing like she's summoning something, you know, like a typical witch pose that you see in movies, stuff like that.

[00:17:58] [SPEAKER_02]: And then I get the aesthetics like she looks really good.

[00:18:01] [SPEAKER_02]: The flames and the light from the flames of candles is like really hitting her skin.

[00:18:06] [SPEAKER_02]: She has on like the dark makeup.

[00:18:08] [SPEAKER_02]: Her hair.

[00:18:09] [SPEAKER_02]: She's like, she's kind of looking like really evil, like a really evil bitch.

[00:18:13] [SPEAKER_02]: Like she she's going to pull a spell to, you know, for like revenge or something.

[00:18:19] [SPEAKER_02]: So get it all lined up and get the settings on my camera correctly.

[00:18:22] [SPEAKER_02]: And then, of course, as soon as I'm about to take the first picture, there I've got a gust of wind comes out of nowhere.

[00:18:30] [SPEAKER_02]: It is kind of blows out a couple of candles.

[00:18:33] [SPEAKER_02]: So I managed to get like one or two pictures that were kind of like half lit up or whatever, you know, so to speak.

[00:18:41] [SPEAKER_02]: I was like, all right, so when comes, you know, whatever we're in Florida wind gusts, it's kind of a what?

[00:18:47] [SPEAKER_02]: So we do it all again, right?

[00:18:50] [SPEAKER_02]: Set up the candles, light them all again, get her back in the pose she had.

[00:18:54] [SPEAKER_02]: And then I'm pulling off the camera about the hit the shutter.

[00:18:58] [SPEAKER_02]: You know, all of a sudden more powerful gusts of wind comes and blows all the candles out.

[00:19:04] [SPEAKER_02]: Now, like I said, as I was saying before, I don't like to mess with I don't like to provoke things.

[00:19:10] [SPEAKER_02]: So I was like, we are not going to do this particular kind of shot.

[00:19:15] [SPEAKER_02]: How did that be?

[00:19:16] [SPEAKER_02]: Are telling us that they were cool with us doing the pictures by the tombstones or whatever, but they don't want us doing this.

[00:19:22] [SPEAKER_02]: So I'm not trying to provoke them.

[00:19:24] [SPEAKER_02]: I'm not trying to, you know what I mean?

[00:19:26] [SPEAKER_02]: We're good right now.

[00:19:28] [SPEAKER_02]: But, you know, it just I'm not trying to mess with anymore anymore.

[00:19:34] [SPEAKER_02]: I'm not doing this.

[00:19:35] [SPEAKER_02]: Now because I was scared, but I was just like, you know what?

[00:19:38] [SPEAKER_02]: Something's telling me this to be like, hey, kind of we allowed you to do this, this and this, but we don't want you to do this.

[00:19:45] [SPEAKER_01]: No, that makes sense.

[00:19:48] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm I'm definitely not one that wants to provoke anything.

[00:19:50] [SPEAKER_01]: And I get upset with my children trying to little seances in the basement a couple of weeks ago.

[00:19:59] [SPEAKER_01]: Whoa, yeah, they got a they got reamed a new one for that one.

[00:20:04] [SPEAKER_01]: I was like, you guys don't know what you're doing and you don't even know what you're going to open up and what you're going to be bringing in.

[00:20:10] [SPEAKER_02]: Now during this whole thing, by this time, the model I'm working with, she's getting a little spooked too.

[00:20:17] [SPEAKER_02]: And then she claims we're we use my car.

[00:20:20] [SPEAKER_02]: She claims she saw some things around my car and, you know, we go over there and of course, there's little like hand prints on my car and stuff.

[00:20:31] [SPEAKER_02]: Now, I do know that likely she didn't see anything.

[00:20:35] [SPEAKER_02]: Maybe I think she just got like, you know, anxious and was like, starting to make her mind wander because I do know when it comes to hand prints on your car and stuff, they scientifically explained as something of like even my hands, which are, you know, these are size man hands are on the back in my car.

[00:20:54] [SPEAKER_02]: But the oil leaves behind and then like dots hits it makes them look like they're smaller kid hands.

[00:21:00] [SPEAKER_02]: I do know that that's something that happened.

[00:21:03] [SPEAKER_02]: I don't know how to explain it outright, but you know, I didn't really believe that there is little ghost kids, you know, trying to push my car or whatever.

[00:21:13] [SPEAKER_01]: Mm hmm.

[00:21:51] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and and like I am the podcast I was listening to and she kind of went through the whole thing explained the whole scientific way of how it happened.

[00:22:00] [SPEAKER_02]: And it's just you know, just like there's the what they call like a spook pill with your car, you know, as instead of like going down the hill being pushed up the hill, so to speak.

[00:22:20] [SPEAKER_02]: Basically what it is, I know they have one in Florida called spook.

[00:22:45] [SPEAKER_01]: I feel like it was our line antennas and the way they look is like they were going uphill and like you can see the car and it was being pushed uphill.

[00:23:03] [SPEAKER_01]: I think it might have been on like a Mythbusters or something at one point.

[00:23:17] [SPEAKER_01]: I was on someone else's podcast last week and I brought it up to a lot of people within the cryptic community.

[00:23:24] [SPEAKER_01]: I think they see these supposed creatures and I struggle seeing anything besides tree leaves or stumps or anything else.

[00:23:33] [SPEAKER_01]: So that's how I think everyone's got like pareidolia or something.

[00:23:36] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's just one of the things that if you want to see, you'll see, you know, just like sometimes you'll see like weird dots or whatever.

[00:23:44] [SPEAKER_02]: Especially like trail cams, stuff like that that I've picked up and it's like, you know, could it be something or could it just be dust particles from the wind blowing and it sets off the, you know, the trail cam?

[00:23:57] [SPEAKER_02]: Whatever. Yeah.

[00:23:58] [SPEAKER_02]: But have I seen things that I'm like, uh, that's a little weird, you know, you know, I'm just like, uh, you know, it could be can't be kind of thing.

[00:24:06] [SPEAKER_02]: And that's just, you know, I'm trying to do a couple other stories that like weird things happen.

[00:24:15] [SPEAKER_02]: Like I said, I'm from Florida and I don't know if my my brothers and his friends were playing a joke on me, but I do remember there was an account that we think we found a swamp ape.

[00:24:29] [SPEAKER_02]: We were camping. I probably was like 14 or 15 at the time and I was with one of my friends and then my oldest brother and his friend at the time.

[00:24:43] [SPEAKER_02]: And we were fishing. It's probably, I think it was around like 10, 1030 at night.

[00:24:50] [SPEAKER_02]: And we were fishing and then all of a sudden we started hearing like a big splashing around or whatever.

[00:24:57] [SPEAKER_02]: And then we heard like, like a kind of like a weird like screaming growling sound.

[00:25:03] [SPEAKER_02]: And then it looked like a tree fell into the water, like maybe 20, 30 feet from us.

[00:25:11] [SPEAKER_02]: And all of a sudden, like my brother and his friend were like, be like, oh shit, you know, the swamp ape or something there.

[00:25:20] [SPEAKER_02]: Then they started running now. Now I think back at it, you know, my my brother is always trying to be a prankster.

[00:25:28] [SPEAKER_02]: They were trying to be funny and I kind of believed them at the moment.

[00:25:32] [SPEAKER_02]: But I think they were pulling a fast one on me, but I don't know.

[00:25:37] [SPEAKER_02]: It's just one of those things because there has been several videos of that location that I was at of supposed to swap a sighting.

[00:25:46] [SPEAKER_02]: So I don't know. Maybe so it is one of those things.

[00:25:51] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I think you is making a joke, but I don't know.

[00:25:55] [SPEAKER_02]: There's been other unconfirmed or confirmed reports of supposed to the sawpaper, you know, Bigfoot of Florida being being in that same area, so to speak.

[00:26:07] [SPEAKER_01]: I don't doubt for a second that there's not something weird in Florida.

[00:26:11] [SPEAKER_01]: It just seems like all the places in the United States, Florida seems to be the prime territory to have all sorts of weird activity.

[00:26:18] [SPEAKER_02]: Well, I mean, just the Everglades themselves.

[00:26:21] [SPEAKER_02]: There's so many stories of rather be the trip of Cabra or Swamp Ape or Piranhas or big pythons or big ass gators.

[00:26:33] [SPEAKER_02]: You know, the Everglades is, you know, is potentially just unexplored.

[00:26:38] [SPEAKER_02]: There's a lot of this swap lands out there.

[00:26:44] [SPEAKER_02]: So there's definitely possibility that there could be some kind of big alligator or the supposed swap lizard monster that have been seen in there or the like humanoid lizard looking people.

[00:26:59] [SPEAKER_02]: Because, you know, there's just a lot in there and the swaps, you know, they go from a couple feet to like, you know, I think like 20, 30 feet deep in some of these parts.

[00:27:08] [SPEAKER_02]: And it's a very unexplored place and lot of lot of area to hide and be in, you know, with the Everglades basically being a.

[00:27:23] [SPEAKER_01]: And I don't know the correct term, a hotspot, I guess, because you have all sorts of.

[00:27:30] [SPEAKER_01]: Animals and you have like is a completely different ecosystem, but the swamps and everything compared to like most parts up here.

[00:27:36] [SPEAKER_01]: So you have in the northern parts of like California and obviously Oregon, Washington, all that you have a big forest.

[00:27:45] [SPEAKER_01]: So that makes sense to where if there was a big ape, it'd be up in there.

[00:27:49] [SPEAKER_01]: But if you look at most primates far as not human primates, but other primates, they all seem to be more tropical.

[00:27:56] [SPEAKER_01]: They all seem so it makes more sense to me that if something like that were to exist, it would be down in Florida in the swamps and everything, because it's more of a tropical region.

[00:28:06] [SPEAKER_01]: Compared to Canada area where it's cold.

[00:28:12] [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, they do have monkeys that have took up living in a certain part of Florida.

[00:28:19] [SPEAKER_02]: So the day they can survive in that habitat.

[00:28:25] [SPEAKER_01]: Now.

[00:28:27] [SPEAKER_01]: It's strange to me that when it comes to Sasquatch and the skunk ape and where each part of the country has their own little names for them.

[00:28:40] [SPEAKER_01]: And they all have their own little variations, too.

[00:28:42] [SPEAKER_01]: So it makes you wonder if these things really are out there.

[00:28:46] [SPEAKER_01]: If they're offshoots or if they just evolved a little bit differently based off the climate they're in.

[00:28:51] [SPEAKER_01]: I would think that the ones that live up in the colder weather to have a lot more thicker fur than the ones should be down in the hot weather.

[00:28:59] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, definitely.

[00:29:00] [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I've seen a lot of things like Bigfoot and you can't tell me that there's not any kind of truth to all the stories because you're talking about that Native American talked about it in the West Coast.

[00:29:16] [SPEAKER_02]: They talked about it in the Midwest and they talked about it as far as some of the places in the eastern coast.

[00:29:26] [SPEAKER_02]: And I even think they've had mentions of it with the Seminoles and the Creek Indians in Florida.

[00:29:32] [SPEAKER_02]: You know, they have some kind of wild man or hairy man or some kind of giant hairy ape like creature that they deal with.

[00:29:43] [SPEAKER_02]: Now, are they the same species or whatever?

[00:29:46] [SPEAKER_02]: There has to be some kind of truth.

[00:29:48] [SPEAKER_02]: There has to be something to that, you know, because all these different tribes of Indians on different parts of the continent are talking about the same creature with a lot in common but the different little different bits.

[00:30:06] [SPEAKER_02]: So it's really kind of hard for me to believe that there's not something out there that kind of gave them that the stories to make these legends, you know?

[00:30:16] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, they there's way too much evidence far as not so much physical evidence, but like the evidence through the past, like the cave paintings and the stories here from the Native Americans.

[00:30:26] [SPEAKER_01]: And it's not just here.

[00:30:27] [SPEAKER_01]: It's all over the world.

[00:30:28] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I mean, yeah, I know in China they have some kind of creature that it talked about that lives in the bamboo forest.

[00:30:36] [SPEAKER_02]: And then you have the supposed abominable snowman or the Yeti that lives in the I forgot what mountain range but in the Himalayas where wherever it is, you know, they have all these different types of creatures that are are have a lot of commonality that they're about anywhere from like, you know, six to eight feet tall.

[00:30:58] [SPEAKER_02]: You know, and waiting anywhere from like 400 to 800 pounds that they have hair.

[00:31:03] [SPEAKER_02]: Some it's like black.

[00:31:05] [SPEAKER_02]: Some of it's white.

[00:31:06] [SPEAKER_02]: Some of it's like a darker brown.

[00:31:08] [SPEAKER_02]: Some might have a smell to it.

[00:31:10] [SPEAKER_02]: You know, you know, it's just too much coin it.

[00:31:14] [SPEAKER_02]: It quits that not have something, you know, maybe it was just some kind of species that died off long enough.

[00:31:21] [SPEAKER_02]: But it's just so many stories out there that you read about that they got to be some kind of crude to it.

[00:31:28] [SPEAKER_01]: You know, yeah, I wouldn't doubt for a second.

[00:31:31] [SPEAKER_01]: There's not some sort of genuine truth to these stories just because again, they're too widespread, especially.

[00:31:39] [SPEAKER_01]: Again, there's so much gray area when it comes to certain topics when it like with cryptids.

[00:31:47] [SPEAKER_01]: It is.

[00:31:48] [SPEAKER_01]: I feel like especially when you're dealing with Sasquatch or these dog men or anything like that, there's like a supernatural vibe to them.

[00:31:59] [SPEAKER_01]: If you listen to a lot of the stories that people are telling, like some people believe like for a bigfoot, it's just a flesh and blood ape.

[00:32:06] [SPEAKER_01]: Well, then you hear stories of how it just vanishes and some people see like little flying orbs around with it.

[00:32:13] [SPEAKER_01]: Some people have actually talked about how it speaks to them telepathically.

[00:32:16] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah.

[00:32:18] [SPEAKER_02]: You know, and yes, I'll say that they they can teleport.

[00:32:21] [SPEAKER_02]: Some say that they're not there to harm them, but they're more of like warning them of other creatures that might want to do them harm.

[00:32:29] [SPEAKER_02]: You know, there's so many different things, you know, it's I guess you just don't know what they tend to do or whatever until you're in the situation, so to speak.

[00:32:42] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, again, to me, like I said, it's all it's all bizarre because it could be so many different things.

[00:32:51] [SPEAKER_01]: But so I see one in person.

[00:32:54] [SPEAKER_01]: I've got a nine foot tall one in my backyard right now, but he's just a metal cut out.

[00:32:59] [SPEAKER_01]: So he's up.

[00:33:01] [SPEAKER_01]: He's up hanging around my pull barn.

[00:33:05] [SPEAKER_01]: I used to have it up towards the front of the road so people drive by.

[00:33:08] [SPEAKER_01]: They could see it, but the welds broke off on us.

[00:33:10] [SPEAKER_01]: So he's now just bolted to my pull barn out back.

[00:33:13] [SPEAKER_02]: There you go.

[00:33:13] [SPEAKER_02]: He's there to scare off the crows.

[00:33:16] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[00:33:17] [SPEAKER_02]: I know it's sparked a lot of about being a photographer and mainly doing shoots, but there I don't know how to explain this, but my actual for for a couple of years, my actual regular job was being a night security patrol officer.

[00:33:37] [SPEAKER_02]: And my I guess my property or where I was stationed at what I was an Indian burial ground.

[00:33:47] [SPEAKER_02]: It literally I was right across the street from one of the casinos.

[00:33:52] [SPEAKER_02]: And so the neighborhood I was that I have heard of there is a black Florida panther there.

[00:33:59] [SPEAKER_02]: I have found evidence of a lot of bones and arrowheads and have heard rumors from the people that been living in that area for a long time that I meet that this was like to kind of I want to say it's like a burial ground, but it's so kind of scarce ground for them like hunting or whatever.

[00:34:20] [SPEAKER_02]: And a lot of weird things will happen at night.

[00:34:23] [SPEAKER_02]: You know, it's just you know, especially if I'm in part of the because they were still developing the land.

[00:34:29] [SPEAKER_02]: They had like one part of it done and then I had to kind of go check the construction site because they had a lot of equipment and you know this supplies and stuff there and I'll have to walk through that.

[00:34:40] [SPEAKER_02]: You know everything and I'll be there and I'll just be walking by.

[00:34:44] [SPEAKER_02]: I'll like kind of have to like some like weird going on.

[00:34:49] [SPEAKER_02]: And then there'll be something splashing in the water and I had my flashlight and it might just be like a frog or something.

[00:34:55] [SPEAKER_02]: But then there is this one night that you know, just a lot of weird things would happen.

[00:35:01] [SPEAKER_02]: I was on my patrol and there was like an outdoor cat that was really cool.

[00:35:08] [SPEAKER_02]: I just called him street cat to be able to show up and then you know after a few nights he started liking me so I can sit there and pet him or whatever.

[00:35:15] [SPEAKER_02]: And I was you know doing my rounds and he shows up and I should start petting him.

[00:35:21] [SPEAKER_02]: You know, I don't know if it was him or her.

[00:35:24] [SPEAKER_02]: It was a cat.

[00:35:25] [SPEAKER_02]: The cat liked me so I was just like yeah you know it's like two o'clock in the morning and I'm like petting the cat because I got nothing better to do.

[00:35:33] [SPEAKER_02]: And the cat just like freaked out one time and just like as I was petting it bit my finger and then like ran off.

[00:35:42] [SPEAKER_02]: And then I just started hearing like something is running through the grass and the tall grass kind of near the construction site.

[00:35:50] [SPEAKER_02]: You know, it looked like someone was jumping or whatever.

[00:35:54] [SPEAKER_02]: It was really weird. I didn't really see it but like I can hear it.

[00:35:57] [SPEAKER_02]: You know, that same night I was um you know they say that animals kind of have a six sense when it comes to supernatural stuff.

[00:36:11] [SPEAKER_02]: They kind of they smell or they see you differently or whatever.

[00:36:16] [SPEAKER_02]: Like I said it's all the same night and I was still patrolling probably like a half hour later near the construction site.

[00:36:24] [SPEAKER_02]: And all of a sudden I just see like a squirrel.

[00:36:27] [SPEAKER_02]: He starts running across in the tall grass.

[00:36:30] [SPEAKER_02]: At first I was like yeah I just see like you know great eyeballs running through and I'm like alright what is this?

[00:36:36] [SPEAKER_02]: Then there would be a squirrel and the squirrel jumps up into a tree and it starts acting very erratic.

[00:36:43] [SPEAKER_02]: And it's like it looked like it was doing push-ups and it's like making the like little you know sound that it does, little squeaks or whatever.

[00:36:50] [SPEAKER_02]: And I felt that it was looking at me but I felt like it was looking past me and like something behind me or whatever as it was freaking out.

[00:37:01] [SPEAKER_02]: Now I'm sitting there talking to other officers or you know the other security personnel in my company.

[00:37:08] [SPEAKER_02]: And they're making you know some of them are making fun of me.

[00:37:11] [SPEAKER_02]: One guy is like yo I told you alright you know he told me about the supposed big black Florida panther that showed up and started killing things.

[00:37:20] [SPEAKER_02]: Or whatever on my property.

[00:37:21] [SPEAKER_02]: This and that.

[00:37:23] [SPEAKER_02]: And you know it was like a whole night where I was just you know saying stuff and I got made fun of by some of my coworkers and everything else.

[00:37:31] [SPEAKER_02]: Well I didn't necessarily see anything I just knew that weird things were happening you know.

[00:37:38] [SPEAKER_02]: And it's funny is I eventually did leave that job.

[00:37:43] [SPEAKER_02]: And I still kept in contact with people that were working there.

[00:37:46] [SPEAKER_02]: About a year after I left I got a phone call.

[00:37:50] [SPEAKER_02]: I happened to be awake and the guy that took over for me I knew him he called me and he goes.

[00:37:57] [SPEAKER_02]: Remember about like a year ago when all that weird stuff was happening or whatever do you like know what it looked like whatever because weird stuff is going on right now.

[00:38:05] [SPEAKER_02]: And he's all like now I believe you I just kind of you know thought that like maybe you're tired because it's early in the morning or whatever.

[00:38:12] [SPEAKER_02]: But like dude I could have sworn I saw some like weird looking.

[00:38:17] [SPEAKER_02]: He said it was like a gray it was very kind of he said the man had been like two to three feet tall and he was like a gray looking like.

[00:38:27] [SPEAKER_02]: You know lizard thing and it has some spikes and you know the best thing he decides what they think the tripacabra looked like and it was like running around and you know making noise.

[00:38:36] [SPEAKER_02]: And just this gave me some really bad vibes man it was so I was just asking if that's kind of like the safe they have like look I never saw anything sure you a little bit more.

[00:38:46] [SPEAKER_02]: You know into it than I am but like yeah dude I'm not lying and you know he's like yeah there's a lot of barking going on like.

[00:38:54] [SPEAKER_02]: Animals were like being quiet all of a sudden and stuff like that he said you know and you know he was like I'm sorry I was making fun of you that night kind of thing but yeah it's weird stuff was going on as I was working.

[00:39:06] [SPEAKER_02]: Not not anything I didn't I couldn't do it at that for a while I guess it's kind of get used to you like hey I'm walking through here I'm not doing anything don't bother me I will bother you kind of thing you know you kind of develop like a weapon car or whatever that makes that.

[00:39:22] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah there's also weird things that no one ever really knows about like it could be normal could be paranormal again who's to say one way or the other what it could be.

[00:39:32] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah and like I said that I'm not saying that like anything I just saying that you know sometimes you know I do know when you're petting a cat you know like it gets over stimulated it might attack you it bite you letting you know like whatever you know but.

[00:39:50] [SPEAKER_02]: Now what the whole thing with the squirrel I don't know maybe the far was you know do like a mating call for all I know I don't know anything about squirrels but I'm just saying like weird things like that were kind of happening all in one night you know.

[00:40:05] [SPEAKER_01]: That is strange it all happened the same instance.

[00:40:08] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and you know I can probably know it could have been a coincidence you know I mean it's just that one night they're just like hey you know what things are going to be crazy for you.

[00:40:19] [SPEAKER_01]: That I'm trying to rationalize it like a sense to make sense of it but again I'm no expert I'm just a guy with a microphone so anything that I try and rationalize doesn't mean it's.

[00:40:32] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[00:40:33] [SPEAKER_02]: It's one of those things like I've been places where the to the north I'm I was actually camping with friends and over here.

[00:40:45] [SPEAKER_02]: I was north of the the Tampa area at one of these parks and it's been known the county I was that is known as like a drug a drug haven there's a lot of whether it's meth heads or you know this crack fiends or whatever I think now the new thing is fentanyl is like the big drug now but.

[00:41:08] [SPEAKER_02]: There's a lot of it's a very rural county that had a lot of big drug.

[00:41:13] [SPEAKER_02]: Problem or drug users or drug abusers whatever you want to call it.

[00:41:17] [SPEAKER_02]: And the certain part that all park we were at I I did not see anything that happened but I have seen the evidence that they're talking about it um so um I went to a big group of friends we kind of do this thing called film fighting and we're having one of our camp outs for the weekend.

[00:41:36] [SPEAKER_02]: Well one night you know some of the younger kids that are you know kind of in the area they know about there's some there is quote unquote of Satan worshippers that would go to the park.

[00:41:51] [SPEAKER_02]: They're able to be in the middle of the woods and make you know the their their symbol stuff like that near supposedly like killed like a squirrel or a raccoon or whatever to kind of use his blood there that it was totally found by the park rangers and they kicked them all out.

[00:42:06] [SPEAKER_02]: Or whatever so kind of going on the same time we're there um I do know that some of the people that are with that it might have been a little bit more susceptible to accepting supernatural stuff started making themselves feel sick because they thought weird things were going on.

[00:42:24] [SPEAKER_02]: During this night the only thing I can say that my uh I can kind of confirm with that it was the coyotes in the area were uh very active that night and they wanted they they were surrounding my camp or whatever so to speak and I had to help stay up in the camp because literally all night you hear in the coyotes which sounds like a freaking child crying when they howl or talk to each other.

[00:42:52] [SPEAKER_02]: So that that in itself is just kind of adding to what's already being put out there you know the energy and it was a little I couldn't fall asleep you know because you're hearing like it sounds like a baby crying you know to your left and then to your right and then all of a sudden you hear it from behind you.

[00:43:09] [SPEAKER_02]: You know and the coyotes got really close to the camp too which is which was just weird because usually coyotes won't come near a big human population but for some reason it must have been either very hungry or you know the the cultists out there like really kind of like you know we're getting them educated or putting in the energy to make them more overly aggressive.

[00:43:33] [SPEAKER_02]: But they came really close I where I uh I was almost um I anyway I I was lucky that a friend of mine came and saved me because I started dozing off where I was at near it was literally like they said at least 10 feet from me ready to attack and he uh shot at it to scare it off and then that really woke me up.

[00:44:01] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah I don't know like you said it was it was all the same night as all this other stuff was going on like you said it could have been a coincidence I didn't know if what they were telling me was true or just rumors that I see stuff like that kind of around I didn't see any dead animals with like blood you know kind of spewed it in whatever but I didn't see like weird little rocks and formations and stuff like that but I didn't see what they were telling you know.

[00:44:28] [SPEAKER_01]: Sometimes it's hard to see things in the dark anyways but I also wonder if some people don't just like to screw around with other people too especially know you're out there on your own or do whatever you're doing it's like I think people have a way of trying to toy with people just think it's fun poking fun and whatever else.

[00:44:46] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh no doubt I mean I'm not gonna lie about saying that I haven't done that to people you know but I mean I don't know I'm just I'm just talking about stories out there that this thing's happened a coincidental whether it was supernatural or not I don't know I just you know just things at the time just kind of all happened at once and it's just like alright this is somethings going on.

[00:45:31] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah a lot of people think that everything happened for reasons and I'm not here to disagree with that or agree with it I mean I have no idea.

[00:45:40] [SPEAKER_02]: I mean I do believe things do happen for a reason but then coincidences just kind of happen you know like when I meet somebody that can help me especially in the whole as a photographer I work a lot in different nightclubs and it was just a coincidence that the one night I was you know working at one nightclub that someone from another nightclub or does another event in another city you know across the next city over he wanted to hire me he just happened to be here.

[00:46:09] [SPEAKER_02]: So I was just hanging out with people that night you know is it a coincidence or was it supposed to happen you know it's just he was there we met you know it just had to be a coincidence that we were there at the same night maybe it was supposed to happen to us meeting yeah you know so it can go hand in hand.
