Ep. 63: Kentucky Family Encounters Bigfoot

[00:00:00] And I just turned around and I pulled ass out of there. I was done. I wasn't dealing with that.

[00:00:12] The hypocrisy of the call is one of the things that turned me away the quickest.

[00:00:21] When I turned my headlights on, it turned and looked at us and one of the things I remember the most were the eyes were going to risk.

[00:00:31] I see an orb of light. It is just circling. These steps like it is waiting for me.

[00:00:41] And he begins to tell them that he saw you a flow. They're basically like what are you talking about?

[00:00:51] That seven foot on my tree peaking around it and that's where I saw the top of the muzzle, nose and the eyes.

[00:00:58] As soon as I made eye contact with this thing, it felt like death.

[00:03:00] Oh yeah man, my pleasure. Glad to be here.

[00:03:03] A little bit about yourself.

[00:03:05] Yeah. I guess I'm your stereotypical country boy. I'm from over here in Western Kentucky and Army Brat.

[00:03:15] But I was born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina and kind of traveled around. But I've been in Kentucky since the late 80s and hunting fish and fishing mainly a little hunting but the lifelong outdoor's meant

[00:03:32] and work at a small school here and just a family man and a and country boy I'd say.

[00:03:40] Now when you reached out to me, I believe it was over some experience that you had. I think it was a cryptic related.

[00:03:51] Yeah.

[00:03:53] Were you in a before we dive into that? Were you someone that was open to that or are you kind of skeptical or how are you about stuff like that?

[00:04:01] Well both. I had been interested in the paranormal and the cryptid stuff and watched all the from ghost hunters to finding big foot and all the popular TV shows.

[00:04:19] So I was interested.

[00:04:20] I had an experience in in wavily hills, paranormal experience with my ex-wife talking to me and the going. And I was very much.

[00:04:33] I didn't think people were lying but I had the experience it or see it to believe in myself.

[00:04:38] And I had an experience there that kind of opened my mind up so that made the experience I had seen a see in a Sasquatch not as shocking but still when it happened, I was skeptical.

[00:04:55] Now I think skepticism is pretty common amongst people until you have an experience of the once you have that experience either change your perspective for you start to question your own sanity.

[00:05:09] Yep, yep.

[00:05:11] But yeah if you want to go ahead and start from the beginning go right on.

[00:05:15] Yeah so we were in the middle of COVID it was back in May of 2020.

[00:05:22] And we live, you can see it on the map there's a couple big lakes, Barkley Lake and Kentucky Lake over here in western Kentucky. And there's a place called a land between the lakes which is a federal run reserve for lack of a better term but huge like 70,000 acres just just place I've been my whole life.

[00:05:44] And fortunately my wife and my children enjoyed the outdoors too so it was it was May.

[00:05:52] And we were we had just gotten a boat, pretty nice little fishing boat a few years before and had just had an infant daughter I guess she was turning one little over one.

[00:06:05] And so it was we were just where we could get out as a family in a group and had been out on Saturday May 9th out on the main lake on a sand bar the girls could splash around in the water I had at the time with me I had my 16 year old daughter, a four year old daughter and then my my infant daughter.

[00:06:26] And so we had this great day Saturday's the first time my wife had really been out from all the COVID and man it was it was so fun we wanted to do it again.

[00:06:39] And so we went out the next day Sunday and this typical springtime it was just not good it was a little colder when was really blowing so we couldn't get out on the main lake.

[00:06:53] And what we usually like to do is just fish and find you know get out on a sand bar cook some hot dogs usually build fire cook some hot dogs then fish a little more and go home nothing you know nothing extravagant but they really wanted to get out so we we decided to go to this a pretty secluded spot.

[00:07:14] And when we actually got down there the federal government they had the round closed for COVID but it's about a two mile road going down to the back of this cold back in this big bay and there was a hot where they look like they've been putting kayaks in so I my boat was on a trailer but I've got a four or five truck so I was able to get it in and get my boat in.

[00:07:40] And we thought we'd just go check it out and man it was we can only stay in that little bay we try to turn around on the main lake and the way before coming in when was blowing.

[00:07:52] Fishin wasn't great so we just decided to go up on the bank I found a little spot a bank little flat spot where I could build a fire as at the base of this ridge and you know the girls actually stayed in the boat my my 16 year old daughter got out on the bank and was fishing.

[00:08:10] A little bit wasn't great I started quickly I'm a lifelong fisherman I'm a fish in the in the bathtub if I thought I could catch one out of it you know so I was really disappointed for me to give up on not catching a fish with something so I just started making the fire and I heard what I thought were people walking up on this ridge and so I asked my wife and my daughter to keep an eye out I had my back turned and was tending the fire and getting ready to cook the hot dogs.

[00:08:40] And you know there was nobody on the road when we came in there was no other cars we didn't need anybody coming in or going out there's a there's a hiking trails called the north south trail.

[00:08:52] It runs the length of land between the lakes and a few people high but this they would have been about a mile off track to be where we were so I still thought maybe they were just getting a view of the lake or smelled our smoke or something but anyway we just cook the hot dogs in that.

[00:09:08] Getting ready to pack it up and we're going to go over to the other side of the bay maybe in fish a little in that right as I'm about ready to push the boat off.

[00:09:19] We heard enough and like we heard on all the big foot shows and all the girls you know they kind of looked up at the same time looked at me again I had my back turned I was getting ready to push the boat off and he said what was that.

[00:09:33] I said I don't know they said I joke I said I don't know they say they say big foot does it and for whatever reason I look down and there was a stick down there that I knew would be a good hard stick and.

[00:09:47] I just picked this stick up and knocked on the little tree I had the boat tied to and then immediately down the bank about a hundred yards we hear another knock.

[00:09:56] And so their heads turned over there and they look back at me like okay what's that and you know I said well I thought I heard people up there before I think it's just some kids messing with us or something.

[00:10:10] But we went down on down there instead of going to the other side we decided to go on across and kind of see what that is now down the bank a little there was a cold there and I'm.

[00:10:20] Man I go down the bank and I'm looking up and it was springtime so there was there was leaves coming out but it wasn't real thick like in the summer and there was a spot where the sun was just shining through and it was just really a noticeable spot.

[00:10:38] And I just gravitated towards that and I looked up and standing right there was big foot and you know I did this double take and.

[00:10:46] Had that moment but real quickly said holy.

[00:10:51] There's big foot and I think it heard me and it kind of backed up.

[00:10:59] Further back on to the ridge behind a bigger tree.

[00:11:03] And you know course my wife saying where so I actually kind of spend the boat we were pretty safe out out in the water had engine run so I spend the boat a little so she could.

[00:11:13] Get a good view and I'm trying to point it and man this thing goes the opposite way just like it's the fastest thing i've ever seen on land it's just like a blur.

[00:11:24] And you know I kind of in reflecting about it know why you don't get pictures or you you get blurry I mean if I hadn't seen it and locked in on where it was I don't know that I ever would have seen it the way it was moving so.

[00:11:38] Obviously she didn't see it and my 16 year old daughter didn't see it so actually spend the boat again and kind of go out.

[00:11:46] Of this little code well then it changed directions and starts coming back down the hill.

[00:11:51] To ward us and I really think it was trying to get away from whichever direction we were going but up.

[00:11:58] It came down a little goalie and we looked up.

[00:12:01] And there was some trees shaking and so I didn't know what the time I thought maybe this thing had used some trees to pull it up.

[00:12:10] Pull itself up the ridge and I got a good look at it my daughter couldn't track it but they could see the trees moving and so it can we thought we were out of the woods you know and it disappeared and you know I'm shocked I'm shocked but.

[00:12:28] You know kind of all struck and just don't you know you don't know what to think is the boats kind of drifting down the bank a little bit.

[00:12:37] Back into the bay where you could see our truck and trailer actually left the trailer in the water.

[00:12:45] And I got a ticket for it actually because I was in an unauthorized area we got back into the ticket and I actually wrote on the check to pay the ticket I saw big slip in the memo so.

[00:12:56] But we were pretty close to the truck and I just I told my wife I said let's just go over to the other side at least go over there and.

[00:13:06] About the time I was getting ready to start to push the engine all I did I pushed the throttle my my ears ring a lot it's called tonight is not here a lot of background noise so.

[00:13:17] She was in the boat closest on the side closest to the bank and the engine was running and as I hit that engine her face and my daughter's my older daughter's face just looked up and they went did you hear that what was that was a grow up get out of here.

[00:13:33] And she's she was actually scared at this point yeah I don't think we were scared before but when when they heard that she's looking and she's telling me you know she could see where something can walk around the back of this car.

[00:13:47] And I told him to get to our truck maybe quicker than we could get the boat over there to it and she was honestly not get out here get out here quick didn't take her eyes off trying to watch.

[00:13:58] They said it was like a frustrated gutter old growl and so man we went back got the boat loaded up enough you know I'm sure you've you know doing this podcast have been into the you talk to a lot of people and I think it's actually.

[00:14:17] I was able to call got home and I called a guy named Charlie Raymond with the Kentucky Bigfoot Research Organization.

[00:14:25] And he answered the phone about 11 30 and at night and he answered the phone and ended up helping me a lot because you know do you want to tell somebody or are you crazy I've been in the woods my whole life.

[00:14:39] Is this stuff been out there this whole time how how many times about it watched or crep up on and actually they came and didn't investigation I think it was August.

[00:14:53] And I took them out there and man it it helped me so much to go they did range finding where we were we measured this thing is about 8 feet tall.

[00:15:04] I was about 60 yards away at the initial sighting and about 30 yards away when it ran up the hill there the ones that told me there was probably two of them in the other one was shaking the trees telling the one to come on.

[00:15:18] They actually spent the night they've got this on their website on their YouTube channel they've got the investigation on there and they got a knock they got a knock and they got some vocalizations that night and that.

[00:15:32] You know I was still trying to convince myself I didn't see this thing this isn't real this these things are now there but had it not been for meeting meeting Charlie and and going through this I'd have been in a different place with this thing but now.

[00:15:48] I've you know I'm not going to give up being in the woods so I've I've got some rules and I've learned some stuff and I'm convinced now that it's you're in in land between the lakes you're you're being watched by something so it was.

[00:16:04] It was it was shocking he was shocking and it took come into grips with but I'm I'm in a place now where I can say I think they're all over and I think it's like.

[00:16:13] I've approached it like dealing if I was in Alaska and I knew bears were going to be around or if I was in the ocean and they were going to be sharks I I would want to know.

[00:16:26] I love to fish in Alaska and catch fish and never see a bear ever and but you know it's neat I guess if you saw one but you just you just never know I don't think they really want to hurt people but man if this thing.

[00:16:40] If this thing had a wanted to get us it would it got it would have gotten us it's just it's amazing you don't realize how big.

[00:16:49] These things are it you know it was it was about eight feet tall and we had a guy go up in the spot and it was so wide the width of the challenge at least four feet wide I don't think it could fit through a door.

[00:17:02] I a standard doorway I know it couldn't end up it was just it was kind of brownish red issue is neat one of the things and I've told this story before but the neatest thing was when the light was hitting it it's hair reacted to the light it was more of a uniform it kind of looked more like a bear it was it was more of a uniform not a shaggy.

[00:17:29] Coat but when it got down in then into the into the little gully there where there wasn't much life actually turned like a dark brown and you know I can still see this day that the eyes are so deep in set the.

[00:17:49] You know human like hooded nose area where mouth was you know there was there was a face it was clearly visible there was a face it wasn't all hair covered everything else was the chest is just massive and then you know the palm I actually saw the palm.

[00:18:08] Which we again wasn't wasn't covered for it was just coming through there and just a yeah I can I can close my eyes even my eyes open I can sit here and picture it right now it will it will never be out of my mind so.

[00:18:23] Yeah I was the experience is kind of stick with you yeah yeah.

[00:18:29] Now you said it was a.

[00:18:33] Went down to this gully ditch area whatever where did it go once they got in there to just go off to where he couldn't see any order to notice you like how did the whole thing where to go from that point yeah so it went up on the hill so the way this the way this thing they flooded two rivers to make this.

[00:18:53] Land between the lakes area they actually took a move families move cemeteries as a total government take over it started back in the late 30s.

[00:19:06] So what you've got is the lake actually the elevation of the lake is up like right now it's summer winter pool it's about 355 feet above sea level and then.

[00:19:19] The highest peak in this place is going to be a little over 600 feet so you've got you've got a lot of hills and ridges that are anywhere from 50 feet to 250 feet up so we were down in you know when he went down into this little gully went back up on top of the ridge.

[00:19:38] And then and now I know exactly where it went because I've actually been in there and walked around in there there's a lot of old logging roads and there's stuff so it went up on the ridge and then disappeared.

[00:19:51] On the other side and there's a you get into the mountaineering of it you know you find it's called a saddle where it's a little connector place so there's places where if you're going to go up and down these hills to get somewhere it's going to take you 30 minutes to an end.

[00:20:08] So it's a little bit of a salary if you know where the little pass and the saddles are it could take you 10 minutes to cover the same distance and I'm sure they know these so it was it was gone really really quickly we thought when we saw it in the gully now I don't know if it came around.

[00:20:30] What growled at us coming back after us or there was a third one there I just I don't know when that my wife and I she's convinced that we thought it ran away but it came on after us and she's she really convinced it was coming after us and still doesn't know why it didn't come on around after some of the trucks so.

[00:20:50] It took her a long time to get over that and actually get get back out and hike and do some stuff and we don't we would go camping off out of the major camping areas you know there's there's designated camping areas and then there's you can just.

[00:21:08] Backcountry camping is what it's called we don't do that anymore we would I like to fish the last two hours of daylight is my favorite time to fish and if we're doing it on foot or we're out.

[00:21:20] We we make sure we're back at the truck we don't go out at night.

[00:21:25] We make sure we're in in plenty of time now but we've seen that.

[00:21:32] I know with lane between the lakes there's been a lot of sightings in that general area not just with Sasquatch but with some other cryptids as well.

[00:21:42] Did you ever have any other experiences after that one or is that the only really experienced something yeah well yeah and then once you you know once you go down the rabbit hole man so it was.

[00:21:54] You know I came to find out that what I what I have was called a class a sighting in in the big foot community that's a that's a pretty cool thing and so Charlie actually ran an expedition in there in the fall he ran an expedition.

[00:22:11] And invited me to come and be the guest speaker one night right right there at the place where I had sighting and which was awesome so I went out with them and I'd never done this before and they you know say I wasn't out at night and of course it was at night but it was it was a big group of there was never.

[00:22:29] You know we're always at least two of us when we stayed on these roads in a weren't real intrusive and that that night.

[00:22:39] You know we saw the lights these people I didn't realize I had seen.

[00:22:44] Orbs and lights and strange things in this area my entire life and written it off to there's a military base not too far from us and written it off just some type of military thing headlamps with hikers.

[00:23:01] Things like that I've never put a lot of thought in but we saw these lights and then we went we were at a little cemetery and we saw these lights and they disappeared and then we go back to where we had a little base camp it were a couple roads come together.

[00:23:21] We went on down into the hill a lady had thought she saw a track or found a track on the road and the guy on the radio back up at base camp said there's one right behind you just came across the road.

[00:23:36] And me and another guy were down a little farther in the creek bottom and we heard what we thought was was the chatter like you hear on the Sierra sounds and some of the talking something was talking it wasn't growling or or huffing or puffing it was it was like some things were having a conversation so we got out of there and document that it was just odd that not everybody in the group had seen the lights.

[00:24:04] And they were talking about they figured there was probably three around based on the Prince had seen I think another group member said they thought something was throwing something at them and just weird that we saw three lights and then people around their speculated I didn't see it at that time but man that's for whatever reason that got me curious and I went I took my son.

[00:24:33] I took my son of course he thought I was crazy. I took my son out one one evening and we actually drove the truck to the little cemetery and had built a fire and we're just going to hang out there and it got real quiet now I had heard the stories of the dog men and the stuff that had happened in LBL.

[00:24:59] I first heard about it in 1988, 1989. It's before the internet and before it was word of mouth but we'd always heard noises and screams and things it's always been a creepy place.

[00:25:16] You know your parents even the people that hunted there we always were told there could be a serial killer or there could be some crazy people or some people that never that never left when the government took it over and went feral.

[00:25:31] So there was always this mistake about it and then again it was always don't be out at night, don't be out alone but I had never really felt anything dangerous like I'd hiked the North South trail by myself.

[00:25:43] I'd gone down the riverbank and just built a fire and put a little tarp up and just laid out on night.

[00:25:49] Kioities were about the only thing you had to worry about but this is really open you know open me up so I'm telling my you know my son about these bigfoot.

[00:26:02] I'm like man and I had done some research and been out and found some tracks and had some mentoring by people that had been doing it.

[00:26:09] So I thought I was knowledgeable about it and pretty comfortable enough to be sharing with him and we got into the cemetery.

[00:26:18] There's a real neat tombstone a guy was shot it says it's as murdered on his tombstone it's just a creepy thing full moon night, moonlit night and you can go I've got his records you can actually search it up but he was shot through his window while he was eating something shot in the head and kill.

[00:26:38] They never caught the guy and it says on the tombstone so I was showing my son this until we hear something when here's some walking and I looked at him and I said alright so here comes here comes something up the hill.

[00:26:54] And you know I'm like it's probably just going to watch us well then we hear there's a fence or a chain like fence around this around this cemetery well then we're coming in behind us.

[00:27:07] And on the other side of the fence and he heard it he's looking at me like okay what's this and I got let's just going around it's going down the lake you won't mess with us don't worry well then we hear it over to the left and this is closer to where the gate to get in this thing.

[00:27:26] You know where the gate is closer to us and I said let's just go back to the truck when we get back to the truck wins really blowing you know so I'm still thinking well it's you know it we're mistaken it for something but if I don't how many minutes it was it wasn't long back behind this on the original side behind the truck which would have been.

[00:27:50] I know now where when our backs were turned that's where it was coming we just hear this like as a ground and I looked at him I said getting the truck it's I left the fire going the fire was out on gravel I did two years firing rest you I want to qualify.

[00:28:13] I don't I'm not going to be the guy that burns down the woods starts a wildfire I'm extra with putting out fires and I said getting truck and we got out of there and then get that's the last time I've been out at night so.

[00:28:31] It in continuing to do this so this is all back in you know 2020.

[00:28:38] Late late to I think it's October November.

[00:28:44] So you know we're in 2023 now I've done a lot and I've actually got an area where I think there's some some big foot that will interact and and do some things which which scares me more because I'm pretty sure this was not.

[00:29:00] This was not a sad spot I didn't see anything but.

[00:29:05] I actually did I got invited small town monsters is doing was releasing.

[00:29:12] The documentary on the area in the spring time that I was asked to come just share some some local knowledge and some of my experiences there.

[00:29:22] And I just learned then they had a lot of people there that were really really with the up with the dog man.

[00:29:29] That's the only thing I have that really I could speculate was a dog man but.

[00:29:35] Now these people aren't lying these people aren't lying and you start looking into this stuff and realize wow.

[00:29:42] There's a lot more out there than you think.

[00:29:46] The dog man topic is a interesting one to me just because of my own personal experience was something but I've wondered and I've looked into this.

[00:30:01] There was supposedly like a family that was murdered or something years ago and it's been claimed to be a hoax and there's been other people but.

[00:30:10] Have these great fantastical stories about what happened there as well and I've always.

[00:30:17] I try and remain skeptical on a lot of things myself and I have logical questions at least trying to ask and.

[00:30:26] I'm always just fuzzy on a certain things but that's a that's a different topic. That's a me problem.

[00:30:34] Well no it's I tell you what happened.

[00:30:39] It kind of took me down this and this is after I actually found a really good print.

[00:30:45] And I find them so much now I just I measure and take pictures of them I want to cast one.

[00:30:51] And it is really really good with the toes and everything but I found this one deep one.

[00:30:57] 16 inches long so I cast it and then I had been on I went on another podcast of Sasquatch Odyssey and the guy sandwich me between Ron Moorehead and Jeff Melgram you know these are these are two big.

[00:31:14] Heavy weights in the big foot world and I guess I was filler time for that but I had this cast and I asked.

[00:31:23] What's weird about it is one toe cast real well and in the vote in the photographs in the video I took of the of the actual print you can tell where there's two more.

[00:31:34] And it looks like three calls it looks like laws instead of toes but I asked the guy Brian King sharp that runs the podcast I said hey man.

[00:31:44] Could you have meldrum look at this video at least and see what he thinks and uh well he didn't get a chance to cover it on air but he did send it to him and he got an email from from meldrum who went through all his he's the continent scientists if you ever watch them on the show he's like well if.

[00:32:03] This cast is what came out of the video and if if if but at the end of all these if he says that's not a Sasquatch track the mid torsal break is way too far up to explain is way too wide for a Sasquatch and he actually asked me.

[00:32:20] Where it where it came from and I responded to him and I've never gotten anything back so I've I've got a track from something that I'm pretty confident Jeff meldrum is admitting is a track.

[00:32:33] But it's not a big for it's eight inches wide 16 inches long you still have a photo of that because I'd like to see it.

[00:32:40] Oh absolutely yeah I've got the the cast is actually my truck in a I can I can email y'all that stuff man it's tough.

[00:32:48] It's it's neat and the phone like saying the photo you it there was a you know everybody says why is there one track why do you always sign one track and there's some cases where I'm skeptical of it like a long muddy bank or a you know long snowdrift but in this case this was a seep on the side of a hill when the old.

[00:33:09] Reason I found it is because I almost fell and busted my butt in a bunch of dry leaves so it's when the water table comes up.

[00:33:18] And then this place there's actually an old sister that is probably I don't know 50 yards away from this on this same ridge so when water tables up you can see water in this thing and then it gradually goes down but it seeps out on the side of this ridge and if you step in the spot.

[00:33:35] And you know it's it's a yard it's the size of a size of a yardstick every way but this where this trail comes up it's the only place you can step in.

[00:33:45] This thing stepped in it and it looks like it slipped and grabbed with one toe and yeah I'll definitely shoot it to you man it's it's interesting but again it's kind of kind of scary too.

[00:33:58] Yeah I said the dog man phenomena is something that really picks my interest just because with Sasquatch I can see it being possible but there's no genetic.

[00:34:18] Evolutionary line for something like a dog man I'm with you I'm 100% with you but.

[00:34:26] But no there's some things I'll talk to you off air about it but okay okay there's some things that makes me question certain things and.

[00:34:39] Without rambling on and sounded dumb about it it's a.

[00:34:44] I guess that I will talk off air okay yeah yeah.

[00:34:49] Do you was there anything else if you've experienced since all this went on you know the neat the neatest thing so you get a lot of circumstantial stuff and.

[00:34:59] I've taken some people when they've seen some you know shadows and some prints and some almost sightings and the things but this past spring you know so we've come to grips with it we don't go on LBLs you go past July August September and even in October you're going to be covered with ticks and bugs.

[00:35:18] So we we hike a little in the spring we fish more in the spring we really high like starting now November December and we've come to grips with where to go and.

[00:35:31] How to enjoy ourselves and just be aware but we were in the back of a cold in the boat this spring and my daughter she's she's eight now she had just been fascinated all day with.

[00:35:46] How how sound carried on the water she had commented people are out water skiing and boating and they sound like their close and.

[00:35:54] So we got to talking about echoes and everything what's almost bus we're in the back of this code there's nobody out.

[00:36:01] And I said watch I said watch this let me show you this so I just and I didn't I should have had a guarantee if I'd have had a reporter running.

[00:36:09] This sounds would be on every TV show and all over the internet because it was just I let out this really loud and it starts echoing and then right behind us in this little creek you hear whoop.

[00:36:26] And you hear the peace sound.

[00:36:30] And I look at my wife and I'm like well we know what that is and then it was it was loud enough to coyotes started going and it got wild for a minute and then up on this ridge and I'd actually gotten a 19 inch print off this ridge previously you hear this.

[00:36:49] And like the cricket stop the frog stopped everything stopped and we were we were just like okay it's.

[00:37:04] I feel like a lot of encounters you know I feel like they're nocturnal and they're starting to get ready to hunt at night and I feel like a lot of people getting away of that or mess that up.

[00:37:16] And that's where a lot of the it was sass watch anyway and I just I got this feeling like something was telling telling whatever who put us to to shut up and it's getting time to.

[00:37:28] It sounded mad it was very ferocious to do like to say and you know.

[00:37:35] There could have been somebody behind us on the trail that was was whooping at us it's possible that was a human that whooped at us but it's highly unlikely that then at that exact same moment you know couple ridges away somebody had a studio quality you know movie quality audio to just play out so it was just.

[00:38:01] I'm not going on I say I'm not going on a ridge I could just play in place to hike out there so but that's the two that's the two real you know our first or first sighting and then that that again I take I'll take anybody out there I can show you stick structures and prints and things and you can hear nox and again it's and let's one walks out in front of you I tell people I completely understand you can think I'm crazy.

[00:38:29] But if anybody had to heard that they would have.

[00:38:34] You know they would re thought it.

[00:38:39] I think it's strange that some people are able to go out there and find things and people to go out there looking for it all the time don't find anything but it's like usually the ones that aren't looking for the ones that come across it more often.

[00:38:51] Yeah yeah and you know I still try to it actually learn this from from ghost hunting you know when you know you want a debunk that's where I first remember hearing that term on ghost and debunk everything don't think everything is a ghost don't think everything so I very much maintain that.

[00:39:12] You know what I'm trying to avoid right now they call it all the whoo they all this extra yeah they just but I tell you what man I had a guy I just I had him out and we he was with me it was the same day we found that big print we went I found it with my son and we went to cast so life long friend went work with him in high school.

[00:39:37] And he was out with me and when he saw this and saw some of the stuff he he's like oh I want to see one so.

[00:39:45] I've got an area where I think that they stay and I think when you come into it they get up on this ridge.

[00:39:53] And I think they follow you and then on the way out there they're going to mess with you a little bit you know make some signs or some knocks or whatever so I'm telling them all this well he bends down there's just little jut out.

[00:40:05] He bends down to look at what he thinks of print and it was he found one so he's super excited and then all of a sudden we just hear this thump thump thump and you can hear the cadence of it and I look at him I say hey man if we walk right here there's nothing for 200 years.

[00:40:23] I hear but open trees we're going to see whatever this is and it was gone.

[00:40:28] And there's been two or three times and so I always you know you hear all the interdimensional stuff and man I put an asterisk by it I think it's some natural thing like you're talking about with a whether you believe in creation or evolution whatever you know whether some line to that.

[00:40:48] But there's been two or three times where it had been anything I should have been able to see it and it it wasn't there so if they say real I do believe that there's a bit of.

[00:41:02] I will go on the loose side of it I think there's if it's just a normal primate there's a lot of weird stuff that goes on when it comes to Sasquatch and bigfoot sightings the fact that people can chase after them and they just vanish yeah.

[00:41:17] Yeah you see tracks all of a sudden the tracks just vanish yeah there's a lot of weird stuff that coexcites with these bigfoot sightings to me that screams more than just flesh and blood primate running through the woods so I think there's a little bit more to it than that but what it is I have no idea right yeah then again i'm right there with you.

[00:41:39] But yeah I think but everything that we talked about there's a little bit more.

[00:41:49] That I could say but at the same time it's like i'm not an expert and.

[00:41:57] Yeah there's a lot of self proclaimed experts I feel like in this field that it's hard to say one or the other especially when there's no physical evidence or proof other than we might find a print here or there but people.

[00:42:12] They have their theories and they'll die by their theories saying that they do this and they're nocturnal and they bury their dead and they do this and I was like you guys haven't even found one.

[00:42:23] I've never never seen one yet you have your 100% conclusive mind theory set up to know exactly what these things are and how they operate and what they do but yeah you've never even seen it.

[00:42:36] Yeah and you know i've got a friend that that's into this and he runs a podcast and he when he first started he was he would hate when people would call it a research area because he would say.

[00:42:51] You might be investigating something but unless you got one in the cage in your basement you're not researching anything now he's been out in his sense relaxed on that because he sees a lot of the circumstantial stuff but you're right there's.

[00:43:06] There's no expert until we catch one.

[00:43:10] And I don't I tell you what I don't I don't really think they want to hurt you at least the ones that I've come across it now there's probably some bad ones.

[00:43:20] And again you look at bears the vast if you look at the encounters people have with bears or the chances they don't even know they were around in a I don't really think a lot of bears really want to hurt a human but but they did.

[00:43:34] And I just tell you I wouldn't I wouldn't shoot one of these i don't I don't think there's something you could carry.

[00:43:42] I mean people i'm what enabled serving the military i've got a blood disease where i'm permanently anemic but i'm the only Smith mailed that has not served in the military so I was very this goes back to my great grandfather so i was very much raised this way you know i.

[00:44:02] I don't talk a lot about it my dad was one of the original members of delta force i can i can prove that so i was raised with that that mentality and people don't understand you you don't rise to your expectation under pressure you you fall to your training and there's nobody i don't care how good it dear hunter you are.

[00:44:25] You you're not training to have something like just coming after you and be able to stand your ground and aim and pull it trigger where you would need to put the bullet to kill it.

[00:44:36] And you might wound it later and you might die later but um it's it's going to get you and um.

[00:44:43] You know i've heard stories about him and that was an Alaska life he would say he's watched uh he carried a 44 magnum all the time back then it's back in the 70s and 80s they had didn't have a little some of the bigger handgun that they have now but he talked about supposedly seeing a guy shooting a charging bear with a 357 and the bullet bouncing off the bare skull.

[00:45:05] And just making it matter so uh it's sadly probably going to take a dead one for people to really you know acknowledge that we're not all crazy when we see these things but i'm not going to be the guy that tries to do that.

[00:45:20] I think there may have been if these are able to be killed i think there's already been people that have done it but it kind of not the where my tin foil hat here but i think that's a reason that uh if they did that.

[00:45:35] They do exist i think there's reasons that they keep them under wraps and i don't know what those reasons are but it seems strange to me that.

[00:45:46] They're too big of a they're too big of a creature to be able just to hide out yeah you need a certain amount of animals for breeding population otherwise they're going to die off from evolution or from just uh.

[00:46:01] Yeah, they're extinct from lack of species so to me there's again I said it goes back to that weird factor of them that if they're an animal yet they're so widespread people see them all over the country all over the world yeah.

[00:46:14] Why are we not able to find any physical evidence or proof of them yeah and you know i again i don't go down that thing i tell you i listen to all this stuff of course i keep it running at my desk sometimes.

[00:46:30] In the background when i don't have to pay attention to what i'm doing at work and i've heard some crazy stuff and again i'm not going to call anybody flat out a liar.

[00:46:40] But a lot of it you're like well okay but there's a there's a story it's actually on the Kentucky big foot research organization on their youtube you gotta go down.

[00:46:50] Scroll down through his reports video reports but a guy contacted him years ago on his deathbed and he accounts where counts this story about being on fort knocks here in Kentucky as part of a support for the drug enforcement agency.

[00:47:09] And around that time i actually had a good friend that was on this task force so i know what he was talking about what happened because these huge military bases a lot of people were going in.

[00:47:20] Kentucky's supposedly their biggest cash crop is marijuana so a lot of people were growing and so they were doing a sweep and the helicopters called these guys over because they said evidently a female big foot was trapped in the bear trap that's not going to be a threat.

[00:47:39] The drug dealers had moved the trap area with a large male was trying to get them out and there was two juvenile was in this guy waited till he was dying of cancer.

[00:47:51] And i won't tell a story but i mean when you listen to this guy talking i don't have any reason to think he was lying and he went ahead with the ten full stuff and talked about how the men and blacks showed up they took their clothes.

[00:48:06] He briefed them with death and their families with the after they ever recounted anything that they saw so but in that he talked about it taking us hundreds around from machine guns and i want to show my AR 15 we're talking about the belt sell that stuff the bigger stuff to get this male to.

[00:48:30] I guess the kill me so yeah i don't know man i don't like that i was telling the story.

[00:48:38] There's a lot of interesting stories out there that.

[00:48:43] It makes me scratch my head it's like man some of this doesn't sound true and some of it i mean yeah again who might have.

[00:48:51] Question someone one way or the other day i don't know when i'm just a guy with a microphone right and.

[00:48:58] I don't say i'm an avid researcher anything like that i'd not an investigator i post a podcast and i talk to people.

[00:49:06] That's the that's the extent of me going out in the woods i go to the woods down here in my basement.

[00:49:13] Well you should get out a little man it's not bad out there you know with basement your knife to.

[00:49:20] i'm afraid i might know what's actually out there so i just want you to stay in the basement.

[00:49:24] I got you i got you i don't blame you.
