Ep. 69: The Creature from the Woods

Welcome back to Tinfoil Tales! On this episode Jazhua joins the show to talk about a creature he had saw many times as a child into his adult years, which he believed to have been a humanoid type creature similar to what many describe as a Rake or as Brandon eluded to, a possible wendigo.

And one of the things I remember the most were the eyes were glowing red. I see an orb of light. It is just circling these steps like it is waiting for me. And he begins to tell send an email to tenfoiltelzpodcast at gmail.com and we'll get you scheduled for a future episode. Always looking for new guests. That helps with the rankings, makes it more discoverable for anyone out there listening. New listeners find the podcast. That means possibly new guests. So more episodes too. If you leave name is Josh. I'm originally born in the South, migrated up here right you were talking to, and I would freak them out like all the time.

[00:08:24] So I knew something just wasn't right about me. So as I got older, I kind aware of the hat man. I have an episode about it too. Yeah, it's I don't like you at all. He I was down like downstairs in my basement. I was lying down. I was kind of watching TV turned off the TV kind of was relaxing. And I saw him from the corner of I ran upstairs and I was telling everybody and they were like, no, we didn't see anything and it was just a mess.

[00:09:42] That type of stuff started happening a lot frequently, I say it's like the not behind or the high behind or whatever the hate or like if you try to see it It'll hide behind something and you won't be able to see it so I would try and try and try to see this thing and I would even get my friends like, you know

[00:11:06] To help me like, stay out the woods because

[00:12:23] of a beary cat. Like I would run from like, you know, the cows and stuff,

[00:13:42] because like, if you got close to them, you know, they did that huge like,

[00:14:43] yet it has gotten closer to the house. I can't say that over the years it has migrated closer.

[00:14:48] But my father actually,

[00:14:52] when we were in West Virginia,

[00:14:55] he actually got us up in the middle of the night.

[00:14:57] My father knew about it.

[00:14:59] He got us up in the middle of the night

[00:15:02] with the clothes that we were wearing.

[00:15:05] And he said that, you've seen it once. That's it. I guess because there's not that many trees and there's not a whole lot of forestry unless you have to seek it out to go to a state park or something like that.. I've never seen one. And they're just like, I make this analogy from time to time, but if there are animals out there, all these creatures, some might hurt you, some might not hurt you because it's just like humans. Like some people will hurt you, some people won't hurt you. Absolutely. You just never know. Yeah, you really don't. What turned me into that was

[00:18:45] parks. It's not just state parks. It's literally all over the place. But because he talks about state parks, it just makes it seem like it's the state parks, but I haven't looked too much

[00:18:48] into that, blame it or not. So I don't know if it's everywhere, if it's just state parks.

[00:18:55] It sounds like there's a lot of weird things that go on at the state parks, and then you wonder why

[00:19:00] if it is so many people missing, why is it

[00:19:04] that you don't really hear it mainstream talked about as much as trying to keep it secret? turn around to sit something one encounter and next thing you know their kids missing. I just think it's definitely the woods. There's something about the woods that these things are attracted to. Maybe it's the trees because trees are so old. Maybe it's that or

[00:21:23] Did you give a description of what it looked like? Sure.

[00:21:24] It's, well, it's like a grayish white.

[00:21:30] That's why I considered it almost like a rake.

[00:21:33] It doesn't look exactly like a rake, but it has very similar attributes to it.

[00:21:41] It doesn't look like an alien, like a gray alien.

[00:21:45] It's very, very little and it's very, very wispy. Its eyes are huge. I mean, just hauntingly huge.

[00:23:03] Its nose is very, it like it's it's not at all like Stealthy You could hear it and it it would just you could hear it like walk up to a tree pop its head around it and

[00:25:43] Normally we we we catch the sound because you know But yeah, there has been several people that have seen this. It's not just me. It's not like I'm schizophrenic and I'm making things up. There's been's owners across Washington, D.C., Greater Baltimore, and Eastern Shore are committed community members who all celebrate the diversity of the neighborhoods that they serve. Black History Month is a special time

[00:27:01] to spotlight the many African-American

[00:27:03] and Black individuals and organizations

[00:27:05] that have contributed to our area's growth and development. Damn near close. That is a wendigo. Really? Everyone thinks of a wendigo what they have the antler heads and everything else like the deer head. That's not what they really were looked like. If you listen to the old Native American it all, but it was like, I don't know, I never really thought about what would be underneath it, but I always assumed there was something underneath it.

[00:29:41] Like it wasn't just, you know, this magic walking cloak. But this is frightening. This is

[00:30:44] in far-surrounded areas now when they be around like

[00:30:49] Reserves and though like when to be around them

[00:30:54] I'm not real sure how it all works with that. I just know that

[00:31:02] And I haven't heard any tales of them being towards the south either they usually seem to be up more in the northern

[00:31:05] areas, but of place from that. So with the Windigos looking like that, what about that? What is the other one? The skin walker? Yes, yes, yes. That's the one. That's a Navajo thing more than anything.

[00:32:21] A lot of people say skin walkers and they any of that works like I said I'm not 100% familiar with any of near that. Hopefully we're not dealing with the same thing or, you know, been exposed to the same thing. It would be my luck that it got close to the porch and we got to go. We left that night with the clothes that we had on our body. That was the most scariest situation I've ever been in.

[00:36:21] He said that it got close and he didn't want to take a chance on what could happen. from the things you've kind of done? I think so. And that's originally what I was saying earlier is I think because of me dabbling into things and being so open to things, I mean, and it's not just, you know, whatever the case may be. But I do think so. I think maybe I may have pulled it towards me or maybe I got its attention from an early age and maybe it sounds like, I don't know, energy or, excuse me. Yeah, when you get to the bigger cities, though, you don't know if you have to worry about the things out in the woods or the things down the alleyways, these points, because you never know what kind of persons out lingering around there too. Oh, trust me, you know, they're out in the streets right outside of my house.

[00:40:20] Um, just as the, the, the, the crazy people, the drug dealers, all that stuff.

[00:41:24] Yeah, Chicago itself I seen pictures of and it's frightening

[00:41:34] Where it it like she I'm sorry, I'm a country boys I've always lived out in the country so big cities to me are always scary

[00:41:37] No, I Like I said, we came up from down there and I love the city

[00:41:41] I guess, you know just because of stories from now that way. Some say it's a dog man type situation. Some people say it's like a Sasquatch.

[00:43:01] That's an alligator.

[00:43:03] Some say that it's just a regular Sasquatch.

[00:43:06] There's so many different ones. enormous. I guess you can Google like Brazilian spike crab or something like that and it'll pop up. It's just it's crazy big. I showed it walking down like a cliffside and it's like part of me was like that's frightening and then the other part of me because I've

[00:44:22] been in Maryland so long it's like I want to like that. So my daughter will try and hand me some gummy worms or a gummy bear. I'm like, I can't do that, baby. Daddy will throw up. No, I love it all, man. I was just the way I was raised. The only thing I won't eat is the more crazier stuff that my dad has tried to get me to eat in the past.

[00:45:42] I mean, my dad has tried to get me to eat like snapping turtle

[00:45:45] and I mean, anything that moves, when you put it in like cakes and stuff. I decorate cakes for a living. Well, I wouldn't say for a living, but I do it in my downtime. I love to decorate, I love to bake and stuff like that, pastries and whatnot. And I've used it in a couple of different things

[00:47:02] and it is just amazing ostrich,

[00:47:06] but it costs, it's like a window go it's frightening it really is frightening and I just I wish I knew why Love to see it. Absolutely. Well, Josh, I think we can wrap this up unless there's anything else you want to talk about. No, I think it's good. I think I got everything that I've had to what you know about.

[00:49:44] Yeah, I think that's about it. I'm going to go back to the
